Illuminations?

When we were at Disney in November and stayed at the BC we had messages on our phones one night that there would be firework testung in the night and at about midnight I woke up to an eruption that you would not believe - I thought it was a bomb and yes I did remember the call but when I was awakened from a dead sleep with that kind of noise....I just thought I am dead... so is Illuminations on its way out or are they making changes?

It was probably a test for the holiday fireworks, they normally test a week before it starts...if not that then New years has a few test runs but I believe they are mid dec.

Well I'm not 100% sure and they could have been holiday testing BUT BUT BUT, Just so you know, about 6 months or more ago, there was a rumor on several podcasts that there would soon be a different Illuminations coming, along with a new parade. The rumors have been pretty quiet in recent months but, who knows.
