Illuminations

Believe it or not we have been to WDW for the last 6 years and last time we saw Illuminations was in 1999 when DS's were 3 & 1. My DH and I were taking last night about our upcoming trip and there were 2 questions that came up. First, what is the best spot to watch the show? Second, what do you do after the show to wait while the park thins out a bit? I don't want to make a dash for the bus because everyone else will be doing that. Is there anything in particular that you all do. Thanks ahead of time for any info. Tamra

Illuminations is my favorite show! We see it several times per trip and I've watched it from various places around the park. IMO, the absolute best place is between Mexico and Norway. Of course, if you can get one of the tables next to the water at Cantina de San Angel, that is great as well but those go fast.

The best place depends on which way the wind is blowing. DON'T stand with the wind blowing in your face or you'll have all the smoke from the fireworks headed right at you.
