Illuminations/Wishes/Bay Cruise

I am looking into booking either the Illuminations/Wishes or Bay Cruise as part of our Honeymoon.
We are getting married at 10.00am and am hoping to have our evening meal at Victoria and Alberts. I would like to add on the cruise if possible. There would be 3 of us going so am I right in thinking that it is $225 per person for the cruise? I am not sure if I am right with my pricing. Is it worth it?

If anyone could recommend which cruise they think is better and why I would be really grateful.

Hi S-C,

I can only speak about the Wishes cruise on the Grand 1, but it was priced at $400 total for one hour of cruisin'.

It was really nice to have the Grand 1, I was happy going with a Pontoon boat, but in the end my dad and my DH convinced me that I should go for the gusto.

It was really cool. They provided the wishes soundtrack and my family enjoyed the show from the top level of the yacht, while DH and I watched from the bow.

It was really one of my most memorable experiences.

I'm doing the same thing really...

a 10:00 am wedding.. dinner that night.. and I wanted to incorporate a fireworks cruise in there as well, but I'm not sure which one and what would be best for us and not too expensive. (there are going to be at least 20 people)

Nope, not at all. Just more room in the boat

I think there are 2 sizes of pontoon boats that can be used for the Wishes cruise - 20ft ($225? hold max 8 adults) and 25ft ($275 hols max 10 adults) so if there will only be 3 of you, go for the smaller boat, or even get some DIS'ers to share the cost with you if you want to. Both above costs include the music piped in.

Hmmm $225 seems like an okay cost for the 3 of us, especially as it's our honeymoon and we've never seen Illumionations before. Looks like I'll have to be ready to call as soon as they open as it seems to be really popular. You don't think you're Wedding Coordinator has any pull over these things do you

I called yesterday about the Breathless cruise for Illuminations and they said it's still "Under Refurbishment" with no idea when it will be up and running again. I thought that would have been really neat for our Disneymoon but oh well. The Disney Cast Member that I talked with was VERY nice and she helped me find another option instead...even though it's not a cruise, we are going to do the horse and carriage ride at Riverside and I'm gonna get Disney Florists to set up the whole Chocolate Covered Strawberries thing! I can't wait!! Fun fun!

How far out should we be booking boats? I hadn't gotten that far in my planning yet and my wedding is under four months away.

We went on the wishes cruise in Nov. from the GF. It was wonderful. The capt. takes you on a tour of the seven seas lagoon, then parks in front of the castle. Our boat had the soundtrack to the fireworks. Be careful, some boats do not have speakers, so they do not have the music. You can arrange for snacks & drinks on the boat.
My DF proposed to me on our boat trip so you can prearrange things with the company. We ended up with champagne and strawberries!!!

I'm thinking about doing another one for our disneymoon it was wonderful!!!

I answered my own question by calling Disney. The recorded message said you can book 90 days ahead.

they had 6-8 pontoons if I remember correctly. they can fit quit a few ppl on each pontoon boat. if you call they can tell you exactly how many they have available that evening.

thanks! I was having a panic thinking they only had 1 of each so I probably wouldn't manage to book the one I wanted!
