For an intimate bride-- are there any other options for transportation to Illuminations Dessert Party other than the charter bus. If you want to wear your dress-that is???

According to the contract that I received for my intimate wedding, you must obtain the charter bus. I never hurts to ask, but since it was explicitly written in the contract, it may not be up for debate. We had originally thought of having an Illuminations party for our "reception." When we added up the costs for bus, entrance, guide, site rental, table setup, food, and drinks, it came out to slightly more than dinner at V&As. So, we decided to go with the seven-course meal at V&As. We got the Wishes cruise for after our rehearsal dinner at Ohanas. We haven't told anyone, so it will be a surprise!

Im not sure about Intimates but i know with a custom you can hire out towncars or limos to take you backstage and drop you off? not sure how it works though!

I'm about 30 seconds form booking my dessert party, what can anyone tell me about it so I'm not going in blind?!!!!????

Just read your contract very carefully... The dessert party entails 1 to 1.5 hours at the location with food and beverage. The minimum for person for food is $19.50. The viewing fee is $12.50 per person. On my contract, it indicated that I needed a charter bus for about $430, a guide for $90, and a site rental fee of $275 for UK upper. You can also add some hot food. It was too expensive for me b/c I wanted to add hot food as this would be our wedding dinner. If it is just dessert, it is not as expensive. I hope this helped!

Im using the UK lower and my rental fee is $200, food and beverage minimum is $19.50pp and if everyone has a pass to get into Illuminations then you do not have to pay the viewing fee!

Thanks everyone for all the info!! I was wondering if anyone knew what the minimum number of people is to use UK Lower for Dessert party?? When we first spoke with our WP she said that the only places available for 20 people were Morocco and Japan (with no seating)--so I was wondering how many we would have to have to get a location with seating?? Any help or info is greatly appreciated!!

The rule is that everyone needs a ticket or else you have to pay the viewing fee for everyone right? How would you know if everyone is going to have a ticket when you pay for the viewing? Do you get refunded? Sorry if this is a bit of an awkward question
