I have been working toward this for over a year now and if you love Illuminations, I am about to blow your mind!

This is not the final full video I intend, but this is something very special, and for those of you who love Illuminations: Reflections of Earth, you can now see what those reflections are.

Funnily enough, I was just looking at Martin's "Reflections of Earth mega edit" last night, which features a picture-in-picture of the Earth globe whenever it is showing video - including with the various "tags" that they do at different times of the year, cut in with various closeups of parts of the show.

If you haven't seen it, I'd recommend taking a look to see how else it's being done, since it seems like you had a similar goal in mind. You can find his stuff here or via torrent from Mousebits for highest quality.

I have seen (and commented on, and downloaded) Martin Smith's definitive video of Illuminations, and yes, I do intend to do the picture in picture and that is what this cut of the Earth Globe as set up for, but it was so awesome in itself...

BTW, 'Mega Edit' isn't his best version- forget the name: I just labeled it 'Definitive 09'.
