There is no easier park to create your own dessert party. The WS is home to so many different treats and beverages that you can stroll until you find your perfect spot, and poof! In that area there should be something that looks good to enjoy while you wait for the show to begin.

Personally, there are many great spots to watch illuminations from. The dessert party I would not pay for. You can view illuminations from the bridge between UK and France. My personal favorite spot is just to the right of Germany. There are quite a few benches and it usually isn't too crowded. The only key point is I would pay attention to the direction of the wind so you aren't having smoke blown at you. My location in Germany is located southeast so for most of the year the smoke will be blown away from you.

I second the tip on checking the wind direction. Find a spot with relatively few trees obstructing your view, with the wind at your back, and enjoy the show!

Illumination Dessert party food was a huge disappointment - terrible selection and quality. I would not do that again. We were able to get a fast pass for viewing VERY late in the day on another evening, but its true that there are many good spots as stated above.

We sat at spot 8 on the map posted -- it was NOT a good viewing point. Islands in the way. I've seen illuminations maybe 5 times and I seem to always pick a bad spot.

Germany -- I see the D on the map -- do you mean to the left of that D (towards America) or the right of the D (towards Norway)?
