IllumiNations Pre-show music has changed!

I tried searching some previous threads, but couldn't find any real info, so I'm posting this here....

I was at EPCOT last night, and was so looking forward to the IllumiNations preshow music that I and my DW love listening to - but it was all different!!

It almost sounds like an old soundtrack from years and years ago.

What the heck is going on? Does anyone know why the change? Is it permanent?

Those few tracks before the big show hold so many great memories for us....that energizing feeling of 'anticipation', the worldly vibe of all the countries lit by fire together....ahhh man, I'm tearing up just thinking about that music!!!

Somebody must have an inside scoop on this?

I also hope they haven't changed, lots of memories of sitting waiting for Illuminations.

Hmm this is the first I have heard of this. A couple of weeks away from Disney and will check this for sure. As pps mentioned...I too hope it hasn't changed.

I noticed that the normal pre-show music was different when me and my sister went earlier this month. I know that there's 2 different pre-show loops. The one that we heard is the one that played from 2004 to 2012. I wonder why they changed it. :

there is a new 30ish min soundtrack since about last fall however on our last visit we were treated back to the original pre last fall.
Each visit we do illuminations almost every night and it appears to be random, one night you might get the new, the next night you might get the old.

I didn't realize there two either. My favorite part is when the lights get "blown" out. Chills!
