Illuminations pictures?

Does anyone have pictures of their illuminations party they would like to share? Did you photograph it yourself or use a photographer? I can think of a few unique pictures that could be taken, I can't decide if it is worth keeping our photographer for it...

i know fantasia sam & hmgolden have pictures of there dessert parties up in the photo sticky, part of the inspiration behind me having one was them. we have our photographer & videographer scheduled through the dessert party, the pictures are so cool with the fireworks & i want my whole day captured on video including all of us at illuminations.

Here is a link to our reception pictures, including Illumations. The Illuminations pictures start around picture 180. While our Illuminations party didn't go exactly as planned, it was some of the best money we spent, including the photography.

I have seen several brides' pics of their Illuminations dessert party and because of those pics, I wouldn't consider not having Randy take our pics there...

By the way - Randy Chapman called me Friday night to chat about our wedding and engagement photo shoot (which will not be until late summer). He is so sweet. Just wanted to throw that out there... and he is so grateful for this board and all the wonderful things we say about him. I can't wait for our wedding day!!!

hmgolden, thank you for sharing your pictures! They are stunning! How long is Illuminations and how long was the length of the dessert party (I'm just assuming the party is longer than the fireworks...)?

Thanks! Illuminations itself runs about 12 minutes. Your dessrt party lasts between and hour and an hour and a half. We got to EPCOT at about 8:30. We were supposed to stay out on the Italy Isola for about 20 - 30 minutes after Illuminations ended, but the rain killed that plan!

It rained during ours too! It wasn't pouring of anything but the whole group was wearing ponchos when we went out to the Lower UK. The food though was excellent and Disney really went out of their way for us that night. We also had Randy Chapman for the Dessert Party. Those pictures are awesome. As soon as i have them online I post them. He really got some great shots.

We had an Illuminations pre-reception, so our videographer and photographer were both there as part of their regular wedding day coverage. I’m so glad they were! We got some amazing pictures and video moments from the event. It was honestly my favorite part of my wedding day (other than getting a fabulous husband of course!). Here’s our favorite picture:

The locations that I know of are: UK upper and UK lower, French Island Upper and Lower, and Italy Isola. These are based on the number of people that you have. Some have rental fees. Check with your SM for more information.
