Illuminations or Wishes?

If you had to pick one which would you choose? Where is the best place to watch from?

It is really hard to choose one, they are both incredible.
Maybe Wishes tho. It's at the castle, your surrounded by MK - the magic is probably "better" , if that makes sense. Wishes, your best bet as in front of the castle as possible. But there are always lots of people .

WISHES! Though I really like Illuminations, Wishes really moves me to tears-I absolutely love it!

I'd take Illuminations over Wishes any day, but I love them both. It probably depends on the group you're with... Younger kids would probably prefer to see Wishes, while the older kids might prefer Illuminations. Both are amazing and I'd try to see both if you can, but if I had to choose - Illuminations. I like watching from in front of Mexico in the World Pavilion. You can take turns and have a few of your party save a spot and send others to get snacks or check out Mexico (theres never a line for the Mexico boat ride).

Illuminations! It has a story, fireworks, fire, a globe, etc. I usually just watch it from wherever we happen to be.

Illuminations for sure. Our favorite place to watch is in that little area just over the bridge in Italy by the gondolas (sp?). It kind of sticks out into the lagoon so you don't have to worry about bad views.

Wishes. I like Illuminations a lot, too.

And I'd skip Fantasmic to see both of those.

Illuminations is OK. The kind of thing you see once. I had a hard time really seeing the globe thingy. (we had good spots too) It's one of Disney's gimmicky night time shows.

Wishes, that is just your straight up fabulous fire works show.

Another poster on a way earlier thread made a comparison between the movie "This is Spinal Tap" and Illuminations, that I tend to agree with.....the globe in Illuminations makes me think of stonehenge in Spinal Tap and I get the giggles. :teeth

<sigh> Wishes for me, hands down. I love Illuminations too, but there is just something magical about the MK at night and the fireworks above the castle. We usually try to see it twice because I like the view from the end of Main St., and my husband, the pyromaniac, likes it from Fantasyland because he is surrounded by it.
