I am considering the Japan store terrace for Illuminations viewing
How early should we get there to secure a spot? Is 30 min enough or should we get there 1h before?

On a night with average attendance, 20-30 min.
On busy nights, add another 10-30 min.

Have rarely seen it very crowded up there.
We ate at Tokyo Dining around Illuminations time and there were very few people on the deck that night. Other nights may vary..
