We are at Disney now and picked up a FastPass for Illuminations tonight. Is it worth it??

Get there about 30+ minutes early.
It will likely be busy.

The angle of the view will be fine (if the wind is not blowing in your direction, of course.)

You likely will not be on the "front row" unless you time things just right
in relation to the other guests there.

Given that it’s 4:30, I would look for better FP options to do between now and then. With the easy availability of other places to watch, if you don’t manage to pick it up again later, it’s not too big a loss. I plan to try for Illuminations FP 1-2 hrs before the show.

I don't value the Illuminations FP because, I'd rather choose my position by the way the wind is blowing...or NOT blowing to be more precise. If I'm "trapped" at the Illuminations viewing area and all I get to see is the smoke from the fireworks rolling toward me....not my best use of a FP.
