Illuminations Dining Package at Rose and Crown

Nope. We asked about the Bumblebee (Boddingtons and Guinness) which are both on the menu individually, and they said they couldn’t. They said for blends they just picked their top sellers, but it could be something that changes in the future.

Thanks for the response - hopefully something they tweak but even without that more than enormous things my wife and I will be happy with on the list

It’s the regular tables along the water and then a handful along the wall, but they are windowed in between each other. Nothing different than the normal table setup. It’s just like if we had an ADR.

Thank you for sharing your experience! Booked for our June trip tonight and excited.

If someone attends who has a vegetarian in their party, I would so appreciate hearing what entree will be offered. Thanks in advance for any information! I was able to book a party of 7 in late June and I'm so excited for our family's big farewell to one of my favorite Disney experiences. I hope I don't ugly cry!

I am so excited for this! We are going for a short trip to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. Illuminations is his favorite thing in all of Disney, and every year for his birthday meal I make corned beef and cabbage. It's like they planned this event with him in mind!! Oh, and his favorite beer? Guinness of course!

I have a reservation for this on 2/4. We've never eaten at Rose & Crown. Actually, we never do table service meals in the parks at all (I'm more of a walk-and-snack person). So this will be a first!

And I stumbled upon this completely by accident last Thursday! Made an impulse decision to book it and am glad I did.

Random question ... what sort of music is played on the R&C patio before Illuminations? I really love the pre-Illuminations music that starts at 8:30 around the World Showcase promenade. I'm just wondering if I'll be able to hear it during this event while we eat.

Looking forward to reading more reviews and seeing more photos!!

Another request for info for vegetarian or allergy meals...if you’re going soon, and could ask about options, that would be tremendously useful for those of us who are booked for spring/summer. Thanks in advance!

My husband and I would love to have our 25th Anniversary Dinner with this package, however we would have our 16 year old daughter with us. She has autism. Is the patio/porch really small and narrow? Are the tables really close together?

This the best picture of the patio I've seen. (2nd picture in list with the green and white striped umbrellas)

We checked in at 7:30 and were seated around 7:50. We’re taking up the entire bottom level, about 15 tables. The top level is still regular diners. Drinks were served by 8:15. Ordered the cocktail with the boba on the side; it’s good, but a little sweet for me. Let me know if you have any questions while I’m here!View attachment 376423 View attachment 376424

It is nice to KNOW that you will be seated at a table with a view of Illuminations! But...it feels like you have the choice of the meal you want or the view you want.

Wonder why the menu is so limited? Why not include the Savoury vegetable crumble (vegetarian option) or the Shepherd's pie as options? Seriously, it looks like you should be able to order from the regular menu to me. Only the beef short ribs are significantly above the price point generally offered. It's not like they have more people to serve than previously (when everyone booked the same and took the chance that they might get a table to view Illuminations).

Happy to have this booked for our upcoming trip, but hoping that they tweak the menu to add another item or two to the entree selection.

I hope they have a vegan/vegetarian option up soon! I have a peanut and tree nut allergy, so I can only personally speak to that, and they did make me talk to the chef even though I was ordering items I get there often. It was good to know though that all desserts were safe minus any cross contamination, which is fine for my allergy but I know some people aren’t that lucky.

I did find some tables to be cramped together, more so towards the entrance. We were seated next to the stairs of the upper portion and had plenty of room. This might be something you can request if you call to make your reservation, but you could definitely request a more secluded table when you check in as this was not a seat yourself event. The restroom situation might be an issue. I would actually recommend leaving the patio and using the public restrooms in the UK. Walking through the pub was a nightmare. Granted it was 8:45 on a Friday night during a Festival, but it was insane. The women’s restroom also only has 2 stalls and is very tight. I went again after the show and the place was absolutely trashed, I felt so bad for the employees.

Thank you everyone for the information and advice! The restroom could be an issue. Does the patio have access to the UK public restrooms without having to cut through the restaurant inside? We also need access to a disabled stall.

Yes. The patio wraps around the side of the restaurant. In fact, to get to and leave the patio, you would ordinarily NOT go through the restaurant, anyway. When they show you to your table, you wouldn't go through the restaurant, either.

The link of pictures I posted also has one of the side patio. It's the one next to the picture I pointed out to you. There's a wide walkway between the tables.

How are tables assigned? Is it first come first served or pre assigned somehow? maybe based upon when it was booked?

Options? You mean substitutions? For absolutely no reason, I'd expect no.

I’d be really surprised if Disney couldn’t accommodate a vegetarian or someone with allergies. They do everywhere else, including dessert parties. Why would you think the Illuminations dinner would be different?

I'm sorry. I thought "options" was a separate question from the vegetarian part.
