Illuminations Dessert party???

Does anyone know what time the Illuminations Dessert party is held and how long does it last? Do they charge the same for kids and adults?

I read on these boards somewhere that someone here was able to do the dessert party with less then 20 people. They were just charged a small party fee of $50. Has anyone else heard of this or done this? If I want to do this party on the night of my vow renewal, how do I go about booking it? If I wanted to add or change their menu a bit, is that allowed?

Thanks for any info anyone can provide! Oh, is there anywhere on the net I can find more info on the Illuminations Dessert party? I couldn't find anything. That's why I'm asking here! Does the MK do anything like this for WISHES?

Thanks for that Ashley, I looked at that site before and never saw those pages - how odd! I think I may actually stick to my plan B which is to hire the pontoon to watch illuminations and then head over to Beaches & Cream for the deserts... we're trying to do this wedding on a bit of a shoe string and that just looks way over budget. Oh well. Everyone loves the idea of the boat anyway :0)

rosiejo, just so you know you can also order food & dessert on a specialty cruise. me & fiance did this for a romantic evening on the breathless for illuminations, we ordered dessert & snacks through yacht club catering, which was on board for our fabulous specialty cruise, we really enjoyed the cruise, you'll have a great time!

I was just on the phone with someone from WDW weddings and was told if I wanted to do the dessert party I would have to move to a custom wedding. I asked if maybe I should just call and book it on my own and was told it was one of those "grey areas". I wouldn't want them to find out I wwas celebrating a wedding and we would not be able to wear our wedding attire.

I was given the option to do a specialty cruise or rent the Grand1 from the GF. We could see WISHES and wear our wedding atire and have desserts ordered through GF dining. Anyone know the price for dining on the Grand1? I know it is $350 to rent it for 1 hr. But, how much for desserts?
