Illuminations dessert party

Do reservations for this always open up only a month or 2 before?

I am looking for November but there seems to be nothing available past July.

When we went the end of April, the reservation opened up only 10 days prior.

I check every day. It's the only dessert party so slow to release dates. June just opened and that's less than 2 weeks away.

Hmmm, now I'm thinking about doing this. I imagine it would be at 9pm, right? Well l guess people could start arriving , IDK, about 8?? Just thinking if it would fit in with our plans.

I did this dessert party last year (Sept.) and totally loved it. It was raining when they were setting up, so they set it up inside the American pavilion. It had stopped raining well before the party. I was able to reserve it the evening I attended, about an hour before check-in, while I was in line for Frozen. YMMV during a busier time of year.

It opened around 8 p.m. I think check-in began around 7:30. We enjoyed our dessert (and alcohol!) then they walked us over to the viewing area near Germany. But if it's outside, I imagine the timing would be the same. But your party would be in the viewing location.

The Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party is rumored to be ending fairly soon. It's expected to be replaced by a more elaborate themed dessert party with elements that should make it very popular and competitive with other dessert parties.

We did this just a couple of weeks ago, and now i'm totally spoiled. It was between the two small shops on the Futureworld side. The area opened at 8 pm. There were no chairs - so be aware of that. I came in on a scooter, and they had teh area right along the railing reserved for disabilities. The rest of the area was a few high -top tables. There was champagne, a couple of different wines, water and lemonade, and 5 or 6 different delicious desserts. The view was terrific. I was very surprised to be able to get it - didn't know that the ressies only opened a few days before the date, and got it about 9 days before our date (we got an email from Disney mentioning it - I hadn't heard of it before). If you can do it, it's worth it!
