Illuminations Dessert Party

Has anyone ever done the dessert party for Illuminations? My parents love Illuminations and I thought about getting them tickets for it while we are there in a couple of weeks, but I'm concerned that there is availability, it isn't worth the money. Thoughts?

Honestly, I'd much rather do the Osborne Lights party, but it is sold out

The biggest issue I've seen with this party is that it is standing only - no chairs.

If they love Illuminations, it's a nice view and includes wine.

I went last year on an adults only trip. DH and I enjoyed it, the view was wonderful. It is too expensive for the whole family.

I went in October of this year. As the PP said there is no where to sit which for that price I feel there should be chairs. Otherwise it was very nice. I'm gluten free and the options weren't good for me (pre-packaged stuff I can get anywhere), but for a regular diet there was a lot of nice desserts plus unlimited rum punch and sparkling wine.

I doubt I would buy it but it was included in our Food and Wine Premium Package. However, if I could eat and drink like a regular person I think it's probably worth doing once. It is a great view and even though my table was not at the front of the rail, there was plenty of room to walk up and stand there once the show started without having to step in front of anyone. If you do want a table at the rail be sure to get there early - they were all gone when we arrived.

IMO....way overpriced for so little
