Illuminations Dessert Party?

Does anyone know how far in advance you have to book an Illumiations Dessert Party?

Also, I heard that if you have an escape wedding you cannot wear your dress to the illuminations party. Is this true?

Not true!

Theme park locations can be booked 12 months ahead, but I think I heard something about dessert party locations being dependent on the convention schedule, so it might be more like 8 months. Maybe someone who's booked theirs 12 months ahead will come along and share!

i'm booking an illuminations dessert party for sept 2009. as far as i know they are letting me sign the contract for it this sept. the contract will be for the ceremony.reception and dessert party. and that would be 12 months in adavance

I signed mine at 12months with the rest of our locations!

I am an Escape bride and I just signed my contract for ours yesterday, when we hit eight months. That was the earliest they would do it AFAIK

From what I understood in the contract, I could wear my dress in the park IF and ONLY IF I want to shell out for the Disney bus transportation. Though I would love to wear my dress, I don't love the thought of it enough to pay the extra to do it, especially as we wouldn't do pictures with it, but to each their own.

Oh, I think I will then! Thanks for the tip! I mean, I wasn't going to fork out another $500 for the bus just to wear my dress, no matter how special a thing that would be, but it would be great to wear it without the extra price!
