Illuminations Dessert Party Questions

What is the minimum guest count for an illuminations dessert party. There are only three of us going to be there, but is sounds like so much fun, and such a great way to end the day. Also, what are the costs for it?

The information I have, shows the min guest count for the Dessert Party locations as 20 people. There is a $19.50/pp food and beverage minimum plus tax/gratuity, a $12.50/pp viewing fee (waived if you use your park tix) plus tax, and a venue rental fee. The lowest venue rental fee I could find was Morocco Terrace at $275 plus tax. (Short rant needed here: tax tax tax, sheesh! )

I think it may make it a little cost prohibitive for you, DF, and DD to do a private event.

Another thought though, I've heard somewhere that the GF does some type of private dining where the MAX is like 5 people or something. And that they can set it up out my the marina to watch Wishes. You might want to check into that! (If I run across the info, I'll post it.)

Ooh, and just found this on the DIS about Wishes Cruises http://www.wdwinfo.com/recreation/fireworks.htm These sound like fun and probably more affordable for 3 people.

What about a wishes cruise?

We are doing our dessert reception with 13 people at the Morroco Terrace. There is an additional $50 "small party" fee we have to pay for not having 20 people.

A wishes cruise would be really cool. My aunt did it & absolutely loved it! That's all she talks about.

If I'm remembering correctly I think the Japan location holds up to 10 people...

Im doing that in december...not sure if im doing dessert or dinner....but it sounds incredible

i think thats an excellent alternative....you pretty much get the same thing only on a boat!!
