Illuminations Cruise

Hi, new to this site. We are planning a trip to Disney next May and I read somewhere about Illumination cruises. Not sure what these are but we are currently booked to stay at Wilderness Lodge. Could someone share with me some "behind the scenes" fun things to do. We will have two almost three-year olds and then older kids in their 20's and then us old folks (parents). First time we are staying on site and I'm very excited and open to any suggestions. Thanks.

I've done 2 Illumination cruises and they're GREAT!!! It's like having your own fireworks showing since you are moored with 3 other boats under bridge - no crowds!!! Here's the link to more info on these boards:

For the younger ones a trip to FT Wilderness and the petting zoo/pony rides might be fun. There's so much to do and I'm sure others will pipe up with other suggestions!
