We've been on the Illuminations cruise twice in the past and we were able to book a boat for our own group of people. Has that changed? Do they book the boat to as many people needed to fill it to capacity?

You book the ENTIRE boat for your own party.

If you WANT another group to join you, that can be arranged (HERE as a matter of fact).

That's what I thought but then someone told me they changed the booking policy and it is now booked for as many people as allowed on the boat with each party being charged the same.

Ok, I just called and was told by a CM that there are no longer pontoon boats for the Illuminations cruise, only the Breathless. Is this new?

From the first post I learned that you must say "specialty cruise" not illuminations as the firework are not a guarantee. I guess on the Breathless - they are.

That's odd. We booked a pontoon boat for Illuminations last October under the "new" pricing structure ($250) so I think maybe your CM was mistaken. Call back! Try telling them you want the 8 PM cruise out of the Yacht Club marina. Good luck!

What??!! If the price increased from $120 to $250, I guess I won't be calling for one tomorrow after all. :sad1:

I called back and spoke with 1 more CM. He told me it's for your own party then switched and said you share with others. He then told me it was available but then told me it wasn't. :confused3 I almost fell over when he told me it was $250, big jump in price since the last couple of times we took the cruise. I assumed the price was wrong since he told me conflicting information earlier in the conversation.

Then I spoke with a more knowlegable CM and she told me that the pontoon and Breathless boats were in fact each $250. She also told me it is specifically for your own party. There weren't any available for our times and I don't think I would have booked it at $250. I thought it used to be $120 or $125 (without tip)?
