Illuminations cruise or EMH MGM?

I have an Illuminations cruise booked for 2/16 but MGM is open for EMH that night. Originally I thought MK was open for EMH 2/16 and i was going to cancel the Illuminations cruise. Should i still cancel the cruise and go to MGM instead? I've been to plenty of e nights and LOVED them but never at MGM. I am a little dissapointed that they changed their scheduel. For some reson the illuminations crusie is loosing its charm?! Will we enjoy it more than EMH MGM?? TIA

In June 2000, our family spent 10 days at the Beach Club. We had breakfast in the Castle, saw Fantasmic for the first time, had body massages at the Grand Floridian, the kids did the Pirates Cruise, we all did the Family Magic tour in MK, and did the Illuminations Cruise. The Illuminations Cruise was at the top of the things we did that year...

I've done 3 Illumination cruises and each one has been fantastic!!!! I look at it this way - there are only 4 pontoon boats/night and if you snagged one, you should definitely keep it!!! There will always be EMH nights at MGM!!!!

I would also keep the Illuminations Cruise. You can do MGM any time. Yes, it'll be more crowded than during EMH, but you can at least do it. It's not like you'll be missing something special that you can only get during that time. You can't say the same for the cruise. I'm having the same problem with SpectroMagic for my upcoming stay. It's scheduled for three nights... during our scheduled HDDR, Illuminations Cruise, or Epcot's EMH. We'll be missing Epcot that night.
