Illuminations Cruise on 8/15

We have a cruise booked for 8/15. Isn't this the day they are opening Mission: Space??? Are there any chances of Epcot closing early for Press events??? Please tell me no! I don't want to miss out on this cruise. It's for me and my whole family and I planned it as a surprise!
