Illuminations Cruise Central--FEBRUARY

Anyone looking to share an Illuminations Cruise during <b>February</b>? If you have reserved an Illuminations Cruise and are willing to share, please post your date here. Perhaps we can coordinate this and help each other out.

When you post your reply, use the subject box to tell whether you <b>need</b> space (and how many you need) on a cruise or if you <b>have</b> space available and <b>include the dates</b>. I think that might make it a little easier to coordinate a match.

Even with the new changes, you can still get an Illuminations Cruise

There have been some changes made in the Illuminations Cruises. First, they are no longer called Illuminations Cruises, all of the fireworks cruises at WDW are known as "Specialty Cruises" because they cannot guarantee that you will see Illuminations.

There are also daytime "Specialty" cruises. They are booked at two hour intervals beginning at 12 noon. In order to have a chance to see Illuminations, you will need to call 407-WDW-PLAY 90 days in advance and request the 8:00 PM cruise, telling them that you hope to see Illuminations (or the Magic Kingdom fireworks). They will then schedule your cruise for 1/2 hour prior to the beginning of Illuminations.

Why can't they guarantee that you will see Illuminations? These cruises last 45 minutes, only. If, for some reason, Illuminations is delayed, your boat will still return to the marina when 45 minutes have passed, whether or not Illuminations has finished.

We'll be looking for a cruise to share from 2/27 -3/5 (I know I'm a little early here!!). I'm really hoping for 3/1 (it's my birthday), but anyday that week would be wonderful. My fingers will be going non-stop starting on 11/29.

BTW - there are 4 of us, me, dh and 2 boys 11 & 8 who are really good kids. They are the "ooh and ahh" and "oh did you see that" kinda kids when it comes to fireworks.

I got one! We have a cruise for February 2nd, leaving from Boardwalk to see Illuminations. We are only four adults, so we will share the space if someone will share the cost!
This will be the first specialty cruise for all of us, and the first trip to Disney for one of us! We are very excited.

The cost of the cruise is $120, so I thought if there were two parties each party could pay $60.

I love this idea of sharing! I would love to surprise my DH with a cruise on this night - but I am so specific due to short trip it may be a lost cause. So we would be 2 people joining another party if you have a reservation.

Ncrnation, so sorry, but our friends who were to join us on the cruise have changed their vacation dates. I am going to have to cancel our Illuminations cruise.
Does anyone want to call for it? It is February 2. Let me know and I will cancel on a day when you can call.

I'm so sad. I tried on Tuesday to book an Illuminations cruse for 2/16. I called right at 7:00 but got put on hold. The call got picked up at 7:02 and the 4 boats were gone. I tried again today for 2/18 and I was super fast and got a CM right away. She said yes it was available and as she was typing they were all taken. So I guess she typed slower than the other CM's lol. I'd look to share one but our group was 10 so that won't work either. Oh well, maybe on the next trip.

I had the same experience the past few days. I called in, had them check, found out nothing was available and was off the phone by 7:02. I will continue to try and will post if I get one so i can share. If I can't we would love to share if anyone out there gets one for any night between 2/14 and 2/21. We are a group of four- - 2 adults and 2 children.

I am looking to share an Iluminations cruise any night from 2/15 to 2/20. I called everyday for these 90 days in advance and I didn't get one!
My kids would absolutely be thrilled to go on this cruise. They are 7 (girl) and 4 (boy) and they are the kind of kids who would be ooohhing and ahhhing the whole time. They are well behaved and if you have space we would love to share a boat! There are 4 of us total.

For those of you trying to get a cruise, don't give up hope, much to my suprise I got one this morning (Saturday none the less), and it was my first time trying!!!

We are heading to WDW 2/27 - 3/6, really wanted a cruise for 3/1 (my B-day). Figured I'd start trying this morning, just to see what the timing was as to when the boats would be all gone. Started calling approx 6:50 am (can't wait to see THAT phone bill!), just kept hitting redial until the message changed, hit #5, then they prompt you all sorts of questions (which by then I figured no way was I getting one), and then the CM came on.

When I asked to reserve the 8pm boat he said "sure, no problem", and I said "Are you kidding?? There are really boats left?" "Yep" he said, and BINGO I got one!!!

We are so psyched!! My boys are really excited. I was going to try to get one on my B-day, but I figure I shouldn't be greedy, be happy with what I have. It will be a wonderful start to our WDW vacation!!

So my message, DON'T GIVE UP!! if I can get one, so can you!!!

I need to cancel an Illuminations Cruise for 2/15/04. If anyone is interested in that date (it's a Sunday night) and doesn't mind paying the extra money for the 'Breathless' (I think it's about $70 more than the pontoon boats), I could let you know when I'm going to call and hopefully you could snag it. Also, I believe the max number of people for this boat is 7.
I'll check back in a bit to see if anyone is interested.

Yes, I am very interested in this cruise for our family of 6. We are eating dinner at Epcot that night. This would be a great addition!
