Can someone suggest where we should make a PS for viewing Illuminations? Someone suggested Bistro de Paris, but the menu doesn't look all that appealing to me. Any other suggestions? And for what time should we make the reservation? We will be in the World without our kids in late July, so it doesn't matter if we have to do a late dinner or if it someplace without a kids' menu.
Thanks!

We always try to get PS around 8:15 for Rose & Crown.....with or without kids :D They say they don't guarantee outside seating, but we've always gotten it.

I second that. We just got back yesterday and had dinner at Rose & Crown on Monday. It was mine and DH's night out without the kids. We had a 7:30 PS, but got there at 7pm. We were seated right away and just had a leisurely dinner. By about 8:30 dinner was finished, so we lingered over drinks to watch the 9pm show. I think a 7:30 or 7:45 PS would be perfect; as I said we were a bit early at 7pm. Food was very good and the view was great. Enjoy!

Another vote for Rose & Crown, we ate there and saw illuminations during our Honeymoon...it was great!

I made 7:30 PS for Rose & Crown and am planning on showing up early to try to get patio seating. This seems early for a 9:00 show. As I remember, CM try to rush eaters when busy to turn over tables. Any suggestions for slowing things down so we can stay long enough for 9:00 show? 8:00 PS were booked.

7:30 is perfect - we did this last March, and although we checked in a little early, we didn't get seated until about 7:40. We did order an appetizer to share with the kids - then our meals, then our desserts and coffee. The desserts and coffee had just been delivered when Illuminations was about to start - perfect timing!

They don't take PS for after 8 pm I believe, so even if you are finished around 8:30 ish, they wouldn't hurry you out, as there is no one waiting to be seated! Have another pint, or a cup of coffee and enjoy the show!

Rose & Crown....but if you have one of the plans, you get a priority seating for Illuminations at the boat landing in Morocco, which you have to make a ps for and need to present your voucher. If you have a plan, you can make a p/s for dinner in Epcot for 7:30, then proceed to the boat landing in plenty of time for viewing.

If you want to eat close to the time (meaning when you finish you are a short walk to a good spot) then try France because the steps in front of France offer a nice place to sit and watch the show. However, we ate in Canada at Le Cellier and really enjoyed the food and then walked to France and got desserts in the bakery and went and staked out a spot while we enjoyed our desserts. I have heard great things about the restaurant in Italy, a friend just came back and raved about her dinners in Italy and France. Have fun!!

I have a PS at 7:40 at Rose & Crown tommorow night. Our plane gets in at 4:00 pm and as soon as we check into the Swan we are walking over and requesting a patio table. Don't know if we will get one, hope so. Food and beer is great there!~

We had the same situation last September. Landed at 2 PM, checked in at three, got our butts over to Epcot for a 7:40 PS at R&C. Asked for an outside seat, were told not to count on it, then got the best darned seat on the porch. An incredible way to watch Illuminations!

We had PS for 8pm at R&C for 7 people on Saturday 4/19. It was very busy there........They didn't seat us until 8:30 and it was an inside table next to the window. They let us go out to the patio to watch Illuminations as long as we stayed away from the stairs (where the servers go in and out) I would suggest making PS for a little bit earlier than 8PM. I should've reminded them it was ok to split us up.........maybe they could've seated us outside. Still, the food was good, and we could see a lot inside as well as out. They didn't bring out our main course until after Illuminations so we had a nice leisurely stroll out of the park afterward.

I agree the R&C is good but we also liked the little bar in the front of the Japanese resturant - i forget the name. we had a table facing the water had some sushi and drinks and when fireworks started we went outside on the big stairs infront for a great unobstructed view. So if can't get a PS for R&C this is a possability b/c they don't offer PS. Also very few little ones in the bar which is why we went - GM had 2 yo for the night :)

Another vote for the Teppenyaki viewing on the balcony. Great spot and up high. Back in Dec of '01, we watched it from there along with Rigis and his WDW VIP entourage, so I think they must think it one of the best also.

One more vote for Rose and Crown - check out their menu on this site and you may start drooling:)

im going june 1 and i cant wait, illuminations is my favorite thing!! the last time i went last may, we sat in that little outside restraunt type thing in mexico, we ordered some nachos and waited for the show, it was a great view, and easy to get out when the fireworks are over, opposed to being in like japan or something where you have to walk all the way around the countrys to get out, bu everyone is sugesting rose and crown, so im going to look in to that when i go in one more month!!!
