Hi Everyone
Trying to see if reservations can be made to watch illuminations from Rose and Crown in Epcot. Are there special package type dining packages for this or would I just need to call down and try to get reservations around the time that illuminations goes off? Any info is very appreciated.

There isn't a package specifically for watching Illuminations. We did this 2 trips ago and got a reservation for 40 minutes before. The fireworks started about dessert time. They let everyone crowd onto the patio to watch anyway.
It was somewhat of a difficult reservation to get b/c the time has to be so specific, but not so difficult as Ohana's or Le Cellier.

It looks like you're going in September so IllumiNations will be at 9:00 so try and get a reservation around 7:30 - 8:00.

When you check in you can ask for a patio table, but there's no guarantee you will get one since many people make that request. Also, be aware that not all patio tables have a good view of the show. If you are seated inside the restaurant let your server know you want to see IllumiNations. We always remind them again shortly before it's due to start. Your server will escort you to the outside viewing area that is reserved for guests dining at the R&C. It is adjacent to the patio and has an excellent view.

It is best to make your reservation early because it's popular and books up quickly.

No, there are no packages. It's luck of the draw. No guarantees for patio view tables. They do have an outside area where you can go to watch if your table has no view. Let your server know you want to do this and try to get out there somewhat early.

Don't make your reservation too close to showtime if you want a shot at a view table. People who already have those tables are not going to give them up.

As other posters have said, Rose & Crown has a special viewing area located to the left of the restaurant. If you're seated at an inside table or one that does not have a view you like, you can ask your server to take you to the viewing area and you can watch from there. It has a great view!

Given that there is a viewing area, they would really rather you not go out onto the patio. They probably won't say you can't, but there are other guests seated out there and you might block their view and/or crowd against their tables.

Hi! We're 3 for 3 with timing our dinner at R&C to coincide with Illuminations - I'm afraid to try my luck on a 4th! But, this is what we did: We made our reservation for no earlier than 7 p.m. (2 of the times, it was later than that - when it was 7 p.m., we ordered LOTS of appetizers & drinks before dinner). We "checked in" at the podium EARLY - sometimes three or four hours early (they can't actually check you in that early, but you can go say hello and say that you'd love a patio seat. In Disney as in the rest of the world, a little civility and graciousness goes a long way). When we checked in officially, we repeated our request AND (I think this was helpful) we told them that we were more than happy to wait for a patio seat rather than be seated right away. Good luck!

Just remember if you try your luck on the 4th the fireworks are at 10 and not 9
