FYI, recently there has been "Day Of" availability for IllumiNation's Cruise's. When this becomes available WDW-PLAY cannot book a Day Of Cruise. You must walk down to Bayside Marina and check availability (they usually put a sign outside the building, but ask anyway) and reserve the boat at the cashier's window.

I'm not sure if this the right place to post, so please excuse me if I'm wrong. If I book an illuminations cruise in August and have a birthday cake delivered, will it melt? I know this probably sounds dumb, but I'm concerned about the heat, even though I know it cools down at night, it's still august in Fl! I want to order a chocolate Mickey head cake and maybe a chocolate figure, but not sure if they'll hold up. What are your thoughts and experiences? Thanks!!

Private Dining usually delivers cake and food no more than 30 minutes before departure. Then, these items are usually kept in the marina until shortly before departure. Mention your concerns to the driver as soon as you arrive at Bayside Marina. You can request that the driver immediately serve the cake to prevent any melting during the cruise. I wouldn't worry.
