Illuminations and Dinner

We will be in WDW starting 1/8/06. One night we are going to park hop over to Epcot just for dinner and to see Illuminations. Dinner choices are Les Chefs deFrance or Alfredos. What time should I make our ADR in order to be able to leave the restaurant and get a good view. Is one better than the other in regards to where to stand? Thanks for any help.

Since you are going at a non-crowded time, you could probably get a spot for Illuminations at about 8:30 (assuming its at 9:00). Give yourself a couple hours to eat and find a good spot!
