IllumiNations and dinner question

Since I've only seen IllumiNations once and that was on my tippy toes trying to see over the tall people in front of me, I'm trying to find a better way to view it. Could someone tell me which restaurants in WS have viewing for IllimiNations and what is a good time frame for the reservation? I realize I may be out of luck since it's so close to my trip and ADRs go so quickly but just in case I manage one, I'd like to make the most of it. Thanks so much!

If my math is correct, you'll be there early January? You should still be able to make ADR's. La Hacienda De San Angel is new - they only recently started taking reservations. I made mine for 7:45 with being there for Illuminations in mind...not every seat is going to have a good view, so just ask very politel for one an be willing to wait.
Rose and Crown is also supposed to have seating with good views....

Rose & Crown (you can't see anything while inside, so opt for outside seating), La Hacienda De San Angel (Outside seating)..Tangerine Cafe (possibly, seems to have a good view) Tokyo Sushi Bar (The glass windows face the lagoon) around 8:30-9 if you want to be eating while the show is happening. Some nights it'll depend on if Illuminations is at 9:30. Most of the month of December is 9:30, but on holidays I believe they do two shows, one early-ish (7-7:30) and one sort of late (maybe 1130?)

Also, remember to bring a jacket and long pants if you plan to be eating outside in January, it'll be quite chilly in past experiences.

And! If you cannot get ADR's for that time, look for Cancelled ADR's on the thread in the restaurants board, and since you won't be there when we are, i'll tell you our spot. In Canada, there are torches that are near loudspeakers, there is a little ledge there, or there is a loop near Norway, Arrive Early!

There always seems to be some disagreement about whether you can request an outside table at Rose & Crown. So, it's not something you can absolutely count on being able to do. Still, the past few times we've eaten there, they've let people come out to the patio to watch or stand in the roped area off to the side (outside of the restaurant). Those are pretty good options.

I don't think Illuminations is running twice a night. I haven't looked at the schedule so they might during the holiday high season, but not in early December.
