Illumination?

Probably the best place to see IllumiNations is on one of the IllumiNations Cruises that are available each night. The one we took once in the past left and returned to Boardwalk, where we were staying, making it very handy indeed.

Enjoy.

I agree; you cannot beat the view and the comfort of watching the show from an Illuminations cruise. Barring that, I think I like Italy the best, but that area that has the great views fills up very early sometimes.

We are doing late dinner at Rose and Crown and hoping (not demanding) to be seated outside. I have heard this sometimes works and if the smoke goes the other way that it can be a good place to watch from. We'll hope for the best :goodvibes

We've been very lucky with our Rose and Crown dinners. We've been seated on the terrace with a view of Illuminations three times out of eight, which is a great record. Even if you're not lucky enough to get one of those few tables, you can stand at the back of the terrace during the show.

Oh thanks! I'm glad they let you stand back to see if you need to. We have enough days that if we end up inside or something and if it's too crowded in World Showcase to pick a different spot at that late of time, we'll stake out a different spot another night. It's all Disney right?

HI,

I have read a little about the cruise but don't know alot about it. Can someone explain? What time do you have to get on the boat & how much is it?

We have 7:00 ADRs in Canada & were hoping to get a good view of Illuminations after eating, but would consider the cruise if its not too terribly expensive.

Thanks
Brook

We have 6:30 dinner ressies at San Angel Inn. I am not to familiar with the World Showcase. Is Mexico a good place to view Illuminations. This show usually starts at 9pm- right?? So maybe we can finish eating and take a stroll through the rest of the countries while waiting for the show to start. What would the best spot to stake our claim to watch Illuminations?

The San Angel Inn is deep inside the Mexico pavilion. Outside the pavilion isn't that bad of a place to view the show, but I've found it consistently more crowded than other options, and with a less direct view of the show.

Where's the best place to catch Illuminations?
There are many good places to watch, but not one best place. The most important consideration when picking a place to watch from is to be up-wind so you don't get all the smoke in your face.
