I'll show you my Lapu Lapu if you show me yours!

Well renew it and come on down! If you can't make it then we'll just have to drink an extra Lapu Lapu on your behalf.:lmao:

Another team player! You fit right in!:rotfl:

Rumor has it V will have PLENTY (21) in front of her to go around...Way more than one person can handle...:crazy2:

I'm never going to live that one down, am I? :upsidedow :rotfl2:

:grouphug:

Oh, I'm tempted.

You might just have to partake on my behalf...I'm not so sure the renewal is in the ol' budget-o.

Then again, Powerball is 105 million:hyper:

I'm spilling the beans....

Ok, so I don't think there's any point to being so mysterious about who has the bun in the oven. Anyone who has kept up with this pre-TR would've already guessed that it's my little sis. I'm so excited about having another niece or nephew. This is her first child and she's a bit nervous but I'll be there for her every step of the way. Last night I told her not to listen to everyone's pregnancy and birth horror stories. Why is it that we women insist on telling newly pregnant moms all the bad stuff but mostly none of the good? My poor sis is already hearing it. I for one enjoyed all 3 of my pregnancies, loved being preggers in fact! It's a beautiful and amazing time ina woman's life. Forget about the morning sickness, stretch marks and labor pain? I mean, it's all worth it right? Right? Of course it is!

Only one problem. She might not come with us to WDW.:sad1: I was so looking forward to showing her around. Oh well, maybe she'll make it. She'll be in her 2nd trimester by then which is the easiest phase of pregnancy, at least it was for me. You're over the morning sickness and yet not too big to the point of being uncomfortable yet. We'll see.

So here's where you all come in - I have a proposition for you. Remember how I booked the two GG experiences? To refresh your memory, I've booked the International Dinner and Illuminations Dessert Reception for Mon. 8/27. I've also scheduled the Fireworks Cruise for Fri. 8/31. If my sister doesn't end up coming with us on the trip, that will only make 7 of us and for a GG you must be a minimum of 8 in the group. For the Fireworks Cruise we'll be fine because MIL will arrive on 8/31. My point in all of this is if anyone would like to join our GG for the dinner, PM me or drop me a note here. I would rather add someone on now before the slots for that date get filled by other GG groups. My sister may still come but I want to have a back up plan now so I don't have to cancel the event. My SIL really has her heart set on going. And hey, even if anyone would be interested in joining us for the cruise, no problem, I'd be happy to add you on.

Edited to add: I suppose I should post a little more in info on times. For the Illuminations dinner, we were told we have to be at the Odyssey restaurant at Epcot by no later than 7:30 and the Fireworks Cruise would be at 7:30 from the Contemporary.

YAY!!! I knew it!!

You get to be the cool Aunt who always has gum!!!!:thumbsup2

Congrats!!!

Congratulations to your sister! I went to WDW when I was 5 months along with DS and it was great! There is still so much to do, and like you said, she won't be big enough to feel like she belongs on the savannah with the elephants (I quickly made it to that point with said son!)

I hope she feels good over the next few months.

And as far as your GG is concerned, I am sure you can get one of the Lapu Lapu ladies to tag along for the night! I wish it could be me.

I did that with my DSis told her to ignore everyone's advice and then I bored her with mine :rotfl2:

Yes, that's what I'm hoping. It will be a good time to be had by all!

Oh yeah, especially all the old wives tales.:sad2: I told her that the only legit sources for info would be her OB (most of the time), books and ME! That reminds me, gotta run out and get her the What to Expect When You're Expecting book. Love that one.

Wow – when I got pregnant, I was SCARED to DEATH!!

And, get this, I work in construction, so I’m surrounded by men, 24-7…all my friends are men and all my pregnancy advice came from guys on my jobsite…and all of them had two cents to throw in my direction! From telling me about labor pains (don’tcha love that?) to what happens to a woman’s body…picture a huge burly construction worker telling me about things expanding and things leaking…I freaked out!!! Not much more embarrassing than when guys are telling you all this stuff and asking all these really personal questions…

And, here’s one for you….one day our labor foreman came into my office, looked at me and said “Oh my God – you’re pregnant!”…I didn’t even know it yet!! In fact, it was the furthest thing from my mind! I thought I had the flu! Then our lead carpenter said the same thing a little while later…:rolleyes1

I went and got a pregnancy test after work that day and sure enough…the boys were right!! Scary time though! If your sis has a good sense of humor, get her the Girlfriends’ Guide to Pregnancy…it was a great book – laughed all the way through it!!

Oh, and sadly we'll be unable to help you at the end of August - we fly out the 27th...hope someone can join you!! Bet it'll be a blast!!:cool1:

That's so funny, guys giving pregnancy advice! And about labor pain? Most men who catch a cold fall on their death bed.:rotfl2:

Thanks for the advice on the book, I'll have to check that one out when I go to Borders. She definitely has a sense of humor. And if she didn't already, pregnancy would definitely help her develop one!

Too bad about the GG but no problem, we'll still enjoy those Lapu Lapus on the beach together.:thumbsup2

If non of my DIS pals can make it, I'll post the info on TGM. I wanted to give ya'll a crack at it first though.

We leave on the 27th too, what time's your flight Lauralee? Ours is around 5pm (I think!)

Just wanted to add that I called GG and I was told that at this point in time, they still have plenty of space available for both events if I need to add anyone on.

Thanks for the invite, Lisa! :goodvibes I'm going to PM you for more info.

Sabrina, thanks for the compliment! I don't feel as if I should have a 17 year old but it's true. It's crazy how fast the time flies. One day you're pregnant, the next you're sending them out into the world. Oh, sorry. I've been feeling somewhat nostalgic the past couple months. I'm going to be a basket case on graduation day!

" It's official - Oct. 23rd I'll be an auntie again!"

I know you all may be wondering what the heck all of this baby stuff has to do with a Disney TR? Well, in between our trips to WDW, life happens right? Besides, this is my TR and I can write about anything I want, so there!

Today was spent with my little sis. Thank goodness I was able to get most of the day off on short notice. We went to the doctor and she got the official word. After that we had lunch with her hubby and my mom and all we could talk about was the baby and what a wondrous thing pregnancy and childbirth is, at least from my perspective. After that, we did some shopping and I bought her a book and a pregnancy journal. I then dragged her to the skate park where my boys were skateboarding with their daredevil uncle and I marveled at how quickly they've grown up and how proud I am of them. Seems like just yesterday I brought them home from the hospital. It's not easy being a single parent but my job is made that much easier by how great my babies are.

Now back to the point of this thread. It's still up in the air whether my sister will be able to go on this trip but she really wants to. She's going to try to convince her DH to join us. If he does, I'm going to keep it a secret from the boys. They adore him and would be thrilled if he could come along.
