Hello All
I have been doing induction for Atkins for only two days - it is 10.55 in the morning on the third day. I have felt terrible since the middle of the day on the first day. Weakness, headaches, terrible diarrhoea and I have been feeling like I want to be sick all the time. Now this morning I have been sick and feel even worse.
I can barely type this for fear I will throw up again! Sorry this is so gross - but I wonder if anyone has experienced anything like this? To be honnest I don't think I can carry on with this - it is just too bad. I am lucky that I have been home these past few days because there is no way I could function in the outside world like this!
I have not eaten anything that is not specifically allowed in induction and I have been taking the suppliment. I have had two cups of decaf with cream each day and otherwise have only had water.
I don't know if the problem is caused by the fact that I have been on a low calorie, low fat diet for 6 weeks before starting Atkins. I have the Atkins book - and have read it throughly - and was prepared for a short period of feeling 'under the weather' but nothing like this!
Any advice or thoughts welcomed. At the moment I am so upset and I feel so ill I couldn't think of eating anything! I feel that perhaps Atkins is not suited to everyone - I felt so postive about my decision a few days ago - now I am so down I feel like giving up my diet altogether!
Sorry this post is so long and so gross,
Claire
