So as some of you may know, my DP was diagnosed with bone cancer during his hospital stay last year. It's been in remission, but the missed work last year and added medical bills for the monthy doctors visits have taken thier toll. Back in December, I had to go to court because I had fallen behind on my lot rent and was on the verge of eviction. They let me stay, but I was then contractually bound to pay the lot rent and associated legal fees by a certain date each month, at rist of immediate eviction.
Well, the car we were using was the property of a good friend who had been living in Belguim. She came back to the states and took it, and our other car was not running well (it overheated badly if you drove more than 5 miles or so). I brought it to the shop, and it would have cost about $2200 to get it fixed. The friend whos car we had been using gave us $500, and my DP had about $1100 in Disney stock, so we cashed it in and a I got a new car for $1500 (cheapest I could find that didnt need repairs).
The problem was, after registration fees, insurance (the other car had been under our friend's insurance), etc, it cost about another $400. These fees meant I was late on my lot rent.
So as of Thursday I no longer live at my current house. Since I am not allowed to live in it unless i move it (wich I cant afford), the mortgage company will buy back my home so my credit wont take a hit and I wont have to pay. I DID manage to find a new place already, but it may take me a few days/weeks to get everything transferred over and get my internet up.
So basically, I'll only be able to DIS at work. Since I actually do have to work from time to time, I probably wont be posting a whole lot. Feel free to PM me though, as it alerts my work e-mail when I get them
