Monday 20 December
We were due to have breakfast in Plaza Gardens today so we had more of a lie-in than we did when we had 7 oclock breakfast. So that must be why it is so light outside the curtains, right? Nooooooooooooo its snowed again overnight and were as bad off as we were yesterday. I used my phone to check out the news at home not good. Only 6 flights had taken off at Heathrow the whole of the day before and things werent expected to get much better on Monday. My sister had posted on my Facebook page Enough is enough come home now!. We were supposed to be having Christmas dinner at her house and she was panicking. My husband and son were not in the slightest bit worried, of course I think they quite liked having the house to themselves.
Only one thing to do head off for EMH.
Dtr went on Space Mountain while I went on Buzz then we went to Plaza Gardens for our breakfast. It was the first time we had ever been in this restaurant. It was quite interesting listening to our fellow guests exchanging tales of travel woes. People whose flights had been cancelled and were waiting on calls to see if/when they would get home. Everyone seemed in quite good moods, considering.
After breakfast we went into Frontierland then onto POTC then to IASW. We then decided to do a bit of shopping both in the Park and the Village before going back to the Hotel for warming drinks, a bit more reading and then a doze. We did ask about having our shopping delivered to the Hotel but the delivery service was unavailable due to the snow.
We went back to Studios once again and had rides on the Flying Carpets, RC Racer, Slinky Dog and TOT before going over to the main Park.
We just had time for a ride on Phantom Manor before we went to Walts for our booking. As usual this was delicious and we left feeling well fed and happy. There was time for us to go to Buzz and then on BTM before it was time to leave the Park.
When we got back to the hotel I went to ask if anybody at Reception knew if the Eurostar had gone that night, but they told me (rather unhelpfully) that I would have to go to the station to ask about that. (I did find this a bit strange, tbh, as its the sort of thing that hotel concierge desks do all the time. At DLP quite a few of their guests travel by Eurostar, so you would think they would keep abreast of such matters, but hey-ho). We decided to forget about it not much we could do either way, so it was drink, read and bed for us.
