It will be my 13th time at DL. Can you not tell I LOVE DL? Anyway, 11 out of the 12 times I've been to DL have been in the summer. What's got me REALLY excited is that according to Disneyland.com it doesn't look like ANY hotels are completely booked. In the summer every hotel in and around the area is booked solid. :hyper: So, what do you think the crowds will be like when I'm there? On top of no hotels being completely booked, it would be nice if ALL the locals stayed home too. I'd have the park to myself, and there's nothing wrong with dreaming.:rolleyes1

Well, I must say that ALL weekends are fairly croweded. But Superbowl weekend should be one of the least crowded weekends of the year. So, basically I think there will be what we would call "medium" crowds. I hope you go and have a great time!

ah that brings back such a good memory...when my dd was in 7th grade which was hmm back in 1998 I think??? her first semester she got straight A's on her report card..we got the report at the beginning of Jan. I think so as a reward I took her and my mother to DL for a looooooooong weekend...because Im not into sports, I wasnt thinking that the time we were going to go would be over superbowl weekend but the rates were really good and we stayed at DLH...I have to tell you that was the most perfect weekend ever...there was hardly NOBODY at the park the entire day...I think we saw 1 or 2 guys there period:lmao: now alot has changed over the years but I would still think it will be a perfect time to go:goodvibes

I say hope for the best, but be prepared. I went with my SIL thinking it would be the perfect day...and we were soooo wrong! DTD was packed near ESPN and the DL was mobbed! I think the theme was Moms & kids, and some Dads who were not into football (I assume), basically everyone else had the same idea that we did - that it would probably be a perfect day to go. I think that was about 5 years ago. I went again last year or the year before (I forget...sorry!), and remember it feeling like a standard weekend crowd for Feb, which was fine. We tend to go early in the day and leave before dark.

Bottom line, just go early and treat it like you would any other day. Plan for lots of folks who think this is a perfect time to go, and enjoy if the crowds are low. I see that San Diego is now out of the picture, so there may be some Charger fans who are looking for a little escape and may come up for the day for some Magic (and avoid watching the game).

well thats completely understandable that DD is packed because of the game....but what about the parks??? how was it in the parks?

naw, just a lot of sad dads and moms taking their kids on rides getting phone calls from friends on the games when anything specatular comes on... :D

Or SIngle parents that trade places every hour, one at ESPN Zone, the other with kids...

hahahha, im just making it up... :)
