Il Pochi il Fiero y Blabbermouths...Magical Reunion FINALLY!!!

I have a question, Irene! :flower3: Now that you know the ship, and the Jurassic Park rooms, what deck will you be on in July? Aft, mid or forward? :goodvibes (oops, does that count as 2 questions?!! :rotfl:)

We booked for July 2012 and September 2011 - Both are still aft - I think Deck 7 for Sept. and Deck 6 for September.

Gee now that GaRRy is not here, I am snagging all the TOps!!!!!

You have to check out the pictures. This is Peter Pan's ship -

They come to life - in motion and in sound.....WoW!!!!!

To all of your with the frigid temps, stay warm! We're just getting LOTS of rain here.

Irene, why are the room Jurassic Park rooms? What did I miss? Are the rooms really that much smaller? I guess they look about the same to me but maybe not as wide?

We have a inside stateroom on the Fantsay. That will be something different for us - no split bath but I'm sure we'll manage.

Ang

You did not miss anything, as I have only teased about the nick name - full story to follow in time (mean of me - right!)

Sam and I agree they do not seem as wide but may be a bit longer. Perhaps the bed is longer?

The inside cabins are supposed to be fun. I missed the DisBoard tour of the cabins....so no pictures of inside rooms to post.

Some pictures I put up on Facebook so I can share them with Irene. Not as nice as hers. :)

Trying to look out our kitchen window. The storm came from the west which is what this window faces.

Looking out the back door. A pretty big drift right outside the door.

Another shot out the back door. You can see the high drifts over by the fence on the far right.

Got an e-mail from John's parents (they live in Wheaton) he had to crawl out a window because the snow had drifted in front of both doors.

I just got an e-mail from the school district that they are monitoring weather conditions & school was still in session. (25 degrees - windchill 10) I posted on facebook that I still must be a midwestern girl at heart. I find that e-mail very amusing...

Oh that is funny!:rotfl2: we only got about 7" - not the 12 they predicted. I would have gone to work had it not been for Alexa's school closing. I did end up venturing out to pick up Jim's cousin who slid through an intersection and totaled his car. Jim went to work this morning but just called me and said his computer crashed and he lost 80% of the work he did today so he is on his way home. Not a great day.

Irene- Alexa loved hearing you call her a special Diskid! :goodvibes

Mary - those pictures were amazing - I am glad I am here with my 80 degree day. (sorry - that was mean wasn't it?)

Monica - you have got to be kidding - the doors are shut with snow - unbelievable.

Stacey - keep that doogie door shut - see what happens.

Suzanne - seven inches of snow - that is still a lot....More than we got all winter :lmao: Even more than the last 10 winters...:lmao: Ok I am really mean tonight aren't I?

Sorry - stay safe all, the coverage of the blizzard is unbelievable.

For those of you in the cold - something to look forward to....SAILAWAY.

This was hard to select a few shots, when I complete the photo editing, I'll forward more via Smilebox --- but for now...

We wandered around more of the ship (those photos are still to be posted) and it was Sailaway time.....We were excited since they were pouring champagne - and it was Tattinger's - oh my, I could not believe that....

MERIDIAN LOUNGE BETWEEN REMY'S AND PALO...There is a cigar lounge starboard and Palo smoking lounge port. The smoke control is very good on the ship - I am not sure where it is allowed, but we did not walk through clouds to get to the Spa as before. You can go into the cigar lounge but not the Palo smoking area unless you are dining there.

FEEDBACK

How am I doing on the tour -- too many pictures, too few? Not enough commentary?????

We are timewise about to go into the First Night's Show and then dinner and eventually Jurassic Park.

But First - Where on the Ship Are We Now?

Looking rather windswept I must admit - and since the luggage had not arrived, we did not change for dinner. Needless to say, we did not purchase the first dinner picture - but I digress from the challenge of Name that Place.

Have a warm day all.

If I remember correctly wasn't the Dream the 687th ship built at the shipyard?

Doing great! Love seeing all the pictures. A little more commentary wouldn't hurt but you are doing a great job! :thumbsup2

DING DING DING DING DING - :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:MARY GETS THE PRIZE. Next she gets to guess the series of photos under ... "WHERE IN THS SHIP ARE WE"

And her reward is some more commentary ----

Yes, the DREAM was the 687th ship that was built. The club is full of ship building memorabilia and pictures. As you enter the club, the bar is to the left and the rest of the room is comfy couches, chairs, tables and some high tops. Pics, I did not post include a chess board and other games. There is a huge screen TV with lounge chairs, a la ESPN Club. I wonder who will be sitting there on Sunday? Samson is the Bartender there - he comes from the Wonder (I think...). No beer on tap at the moment but there will be a Ship's Red Ale soon. I found the club small for a Sports Bar, but we will see how packed it is. Meanwhile the appetizers and the wings (which are out some nights and so yummy) are now in the large hallway leading into the 687 Club. There is a long "bar" like a built in standing table - to rest your plate if you are munching outside.

The Clubs are now on Deck 4 AFT - you enter and see "The District" and the 687 club is to 9 (starboard - is that correct?) - there is a T that goes to 687 or the Evolution - no pics of the Evolution Club - it is quite large - a roundish bar, high tops, stage and tables. This was our Munser Station - quite to Hedgie's satisfaction.

I get turned around in the District (still) so come out of Evolution and go to Port side and there is a T that goes to the Skylight lounge. You must ask for a menu for the lounge - they light up - great effect and great for those of us who just may need a tinsy little assistance in reading in the dark. Of course, you will be handed one, but you get what I mean. And sit at the bar to get the full effect of the scenes "outside" the windows. That lounge is smaller - I was of the opinion the scenes changed every night - they actually change every 15 minutes and are also annimated....Great job! The bar is smaller and there are comfy chairs for group gatherings.

The other part of the T is the smallest (but by far the most elegant) lounge on the ship - PINK. Tattinger is in evidence on this lounge and the glass work is so pretty. (True confession is that I am a sucker for glass so my impressions may be exaggerated...). Matthew is the bartender here - and will gladly explain the Club. It is elegant. (I said that didn't I?) and pretty....

Walking (backwards) through Pink - ie going out the in door, you come to the main District lounge with a wrap around bar - seperated by a walkway and the piano bar on the other side. Not sure how that will work at night - we only walked through this area. I think it is the Cadallic venue on the Dream.

I'd recommend you tour the clubs on Day 1 when they are empty - very pretty then....

Whew - this is hard....

I don't want to steal all the fun. I'll let someone else guess that one. :)

:worship: Thank you Irene for all of your photos and posts! I'm having fun reading.

School is cancelled for tomorrow and we're still waiting on the sleet/snow/ice whatever we're supposed to get to arrive. If it does arrive it will be the 3rd snowfall in 3 years - some kind of record. All I know is that is time to move farther south...:rotfl2:

Ok, I'll play. My guess is that's the tv in your stateroom.

Thanks so much for the pics & the commentary.
