Il Pochi il Fiero y Blabbermouths...Magical Reunion FINALLY!!!

Happy belated birthday Sam!! Hope you enjoyed your day! With your wonderful wife by your side I am sure it was great!

We are leaving Sun to go down to FL for the holidays/birthday. I am debating on whether to go to WDW again but have never been during the holidays. I hear it is something to see! Any thoughts??

Sam says thanks, as do I.

Christmas at WDW is one of our traditions. We enjoy the Candlelight Procession - if you go - look at a dinner package. And the castle is so pretty, I could just stand and watch it. The Osborn lights - unbelievable. The hotels are decked out - there is caroling at Grand Floridian, gingerbread houses at many hotels - just lots.....So my recommendation is go - but to see Christmas, not to see the normal offerings or rides - not enough time. (could be boring for Alexa - but great for those of us that love silver and gold, green and red). Did I mention each hotel has a different Christmas tree = themed to the nature of the hotel?

Gee - did I do it again. Another UTOP with Suzanne and WDW at Christmas.

Christmas in the parks is my FAVORITE. The decorations, the music, just the whole "mood" :thumbsup2 But is it decorated yet? I forget when they do it. The crowds might be heavy, but I have a feeling that anymore, it always is.

It is MOST DEFINITELY decorated. The only things missing the last time we were on property (a few days ago) were the trees. No tree at the MK yet, or at AK. I heard the Epcot tree was up, but cannot confirm. Osbourne lights is going on, as are frequent MVMCP. The castle is.....GORGEOUS!

This was taken just last week:

Wow! That is beautiful! I will see what the consensus is. Hard when your party includes everyone from 6 to 80 years old! Any of what Irene described sounds awesome!

I've always liked Christmas at Disney because here in Arizona, it just never FEELS like Christmas, so even a "magical", pixie-dusted Disney Christmas is better than cactus.
That didn't come out right. I guess what I mean is that it really feels like Christmas there, even if it is Florida or California...thanks to the decorations, the lights, the music...and even some "snow".

I did something new this weekend. I did the Ragnar Relay from Tampa to Daytona Beach with 11 friends. Starting Friday morning and finished Saturday afternoon is Daytona Beach. Our group covered the 210 miles in 28 hours.

Lots of fun spending 30 hours in a mini-van with 6 people, smelly clothing, food, sleeping bags.....

Yeah....that DOES sound like fun. Not. :crowded::crazy2:
But congrats on doing it, that's a lot of ground to cover!

Good morning everyone!

Jim I will say you come up with the most creative ways to spend your days. Not my style but good for you! :thumbsup2

We had a nice weekend. Saturday we went to our first holiday party. Now we usually aren't party people but we haven't seen this couple in 5 years and they have lived up near us for the past couple of years. They are past Disney castmembers and we met David when he was running the DVC Member Cruise. It was a wonderful evening and their house is fully of such wonderful Disney memorabilia. Sunday we went and saw Harry Potter (in Imax) and then out for a nice dinner. All in all a nice relaxing weekend.

I've got the week off (using up vacation days) so I've got lots to do around the house to get it ready for the holidays.

Boo to the kidney stones.

Keep eating and if it means you need to go to WDW than do it!

Sorry to hear your MELD score is not great as far as going down but if it gets you closer to your transplant than yeah for it.

Know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

It's always easier to eat more when someone else is cooking for you. I could give you lessons on how to eat all the wrong things and gain weight, I'm an expert at that!!
Maybe we could do a fat transplant??

It really was fun and I loved seeing all the art in their house. They must have at least 12 of Ducky's lithos up. One of them, the one we got on the DVC Member cruise, is in the family room. On one side of it is the framed original sketch by Ducky of Mickey and Minnie from the litho. On the other side is a framed collage of Ducky working on the litho. Very very cool. I asked David if he would miss anything so when we were leaving he asked me to turn out my pockets. :rotfl: They are a nice couple and through a great party.
