Il Pochi il Fiero y Blabbermouths...Magical Reunion FINALLY!!!

Please think of Jim on his 50 MILE run today. :worship::worship:

It is very warm in Florida today, so this could be a long day for him. Hopefully he will complete the run successfully and be able to cross this item off his bucket list. :thumbsup2

Go JIM GO!!!!!

It's Friday - we are long past due for a song...I'll start...

Here comes Peter Cottontail;

Hoppin' down the bunny trail,

Hippity hoppin', Easter's on its way;

Bringin' ev'ry girl and boy;

A basketful of Easter joy;

Things to make your Easter bright and gay;

He's got jelly beans for Tommy;

Colored eggs for sister Sue;

There's an orchid for your mommy;

And an Easter bonnet too. Oh!

Here comes Peter Cottontail;

Hoppin' down the bunny trail;

Hippity hoppity Happy Easter Day.

I'll play.....although I never knew all the words to it:

In your Easter bonnet, with all the frills upon it
You'll be the grandest lady in the Easter parade

I'll be all in clover and when they look you over
I'll be the proudest fellow in the Easter parade

On the Avenue
Fifth Avenue
The photographers will snap us
And you'll find that you're
In the rotogravure

Oh, I could write a sonnet about your Easter bonnet
And of the girl I'm taking to the Easter parade......

I had to look up "rotogravure"....I figured it had something to do with a newspaper.....it's a type of printing press.

Yep - I've even seen one in action. We used to print our catalogs on a gravure press back in the day.

Wow - that's a big one. He's in our thoughts (though he may already be finished with the race by this time). Way to go Jim!

Utop with a running Jim!

PDFG and all our friends who need it!

Happy Easter.

It's been a while since I've been here. Things have been a little busy and full of fun.

In the last three weeks I've spent 4 days of skiing with Matthew in Minnesota. I even advised to take my first double black diamond runs. We spent 3 days of cave diving at Peacock Springs and Ginnie Springs. We earned our first cave certification cards and did a 400'+ penetration. Ended the three weeks with my 50 mile race yesterday.

Last year I set the goal of running a 50 mile race before I turned 50. Yesterday I did it in 10 hours 52 minutes. It was a great trail run, even thought it was hot and sunny. The best part is that I finished the race strong which makes all the weeks of running 50+ miles well worth it.

The next goal is 500 mile bike trip in 5 days with Matthew in August.

It sure has been a great year so far. Guess it is time to start planning for the cruise....but we leave for Clemson SC on Friday for another weekend trip. Wonder if I can find a race there?

Ya know, Jim....I hope when I'm as old as you are, I have HALF your energy.
:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

We'll be having our Easter dinner tomorrow night. I'd made a lot of it ahead of time, but it turned out that Jared was way too sick to even think of eating, so we'll wait til he feels better. Some kind of flu, I guess...he had a temp of 103° off and on all day. :sick:

Jim, what is with you and the number 5 these days????

Congrats though (actually I am jealous).

Well, I did it. For months and months I'd been thinking about whether or not I was going to drag my laptop to Alaska, then also along for the wedding cruise, then to San Francisco.....that's a lot of flights and a lot of carrying around a big heavy thing...in and out for airport security, etc....BUT...since I'm going to be gone half the summer, I really wanted to stay in touch with everyone, and start a trip report with info on Alaska....blah blah blah....
Anyway....sorry Virgil, I'm just not the Apple type. Not that there is a type....unless it's type "Cheap". So I bought an HP netbook. It should work for me really well, and not weigh down my carry on. Plus it has card slots for my cameras. :thumbsup2

Congrats on the new computer. Now you just need an air card so you can connect anywhere you can get cell phone reception.

I'll definitely look into that. Our hotel in Seattle, before the Alaska cruise, doesn't have free WiFi. Thanks for mentioning that!!:thumbsup2
