Sharon is talking the last day of the cruise for dinner at Palos. Unless you plan on getting off on Wednesday.....I plan on having dinner at Palos on Thursday.

I copied the brunch date from what Virgil posted, so I'm not off...maybe HE is.

Yes - there are a bunch linked with us already. I did ask for the private room on Wednesday at 11am. It is filled with parents and grandparents - I'll try and see if I can get everybody else a ressie and see what happens....

We're linked with all of the "late" diners. It might make a mess of your early dinner if you were linked with the rest.

Sometimes peer pressure is a GOOD thing!!! YAY!!!!!


I guess what I was asking would have been kind of wrong, too, then. But none of us want to go twice...we just want to be sure to get to go at all and sit by eachother. But probably still wrong to book for 4 when you only have two. Except I'm not sure, but I thought the system allowed for that.
Either way....we'll get there!

Now for brunch - should we still book on our own and then they'll move us together. I thought that is what had happened in the past but I'm not sure. Now I just hope you all don't pull a BBB on us and we're sitting way on the other side of the room watching you all have fun.

mary...if Virgil's willing to help, this is what I think we should do....each of us book brunch for the same time, if possible, and then see if Virgil can talk to concierge to get us folks who aren't in the room with family all seated just outside, or at least all together. If not, then we converge on Marco (Frances will be GLAD to come do that!) and ask him ahead of time.

We'll have the perfect opportunity, because we'll be at the reception in Palo at the very beginning of the cruise, with Marco...or whoever is the manager at that time. Since they don't do seating charts, I really believe they'll have no problem with that, especially since we are guests of the wedding party....and the "Man" in the Walt.

We had a table for 10 on the Panama Canal cruise, so I know they can put us together. BUT.....Virgil...how do we get them to do that? I swear, my brain is mush and I don't remember. The gal who used to handle dining isn't with DCL any more, so I don't know who to contact. Maybe that's something we should let Sandie handle.

What a day! Still not packed, but I have time tomorrow. It's just been one little snafu after another. One of those days where I wonder how things are going to go when I'm gone.....since I'm the one cleaning up all the "messes". But I guess that IS my job...Mess-Cleaner-Upper. I'm not complaining...honest....I just hate the timing of it all.

We have a neighbor who's a retired judge, lived here longer than anyone. He NEVER ever has helped when the road needs work, or the crossing...and doesn't pitch in to help pay for it either. Today he & his wife called the Town Engineer to complain that we...Jay, me, and one other neighbor.....have "destroyed everything" over there, encroached on their property, cut down trees....I happened to just be driving by while they were out there talking to the man, and stopped. Actually, the judge wasn't there, only the wife and their adult daughter. Boy-oh-howdy! She started to scream at me!! The poor fellow from the town just stood there. Chuckling, I think.
Anyway....you know me....I can't keep my mouth shut. Needless to say, it was interesting.
The guy from the town saw absolutely NOTHING wrong with what we'd done. I tried to tell the woman that what we did was for everyone's good....she didn't care. So it kind of ended with the town guy walking back to my car with me and telling me that the town has no problem with it, but he wouldn't be surprised if the judge tries to sue us. GREAT. Fixing the road damage and the creek HAD to be done. I don't see the problem either. It helped the judge as much as everyone else. So it will be interesting to see how it goes.
But it made an already busy week, with nothing but messes to fix, even worse.
I guess we won't be inviting them to the next barn-raising!
