Hello all.

I am having a very hard time finding a clear and recent answer on this. If it is a repetitive question or the wrong board please knock me down.

My family has traded into DVC OKW from Interval International (II). I have stayed many many times at the resorts and loved it. This will be our first DVC resort stay, and I can tell you we are excited! Personally, this will be a fact finding trek for me, I have been considering it for years!

We are aware of the 95$ resort fee. I feel this is more then adequate given all the on WDW resort transportation that is offered. The question I have is Magical Express. Is it still offered to *all* resort guests? I found some cryptic posts that it is no longer offered to DVC members :sad2: , If this is true then I will assume that us peeps that a II trade-in no longer get this perk as well. If so, does anyone know if can we book the transportation for an additional charge?

Again, if this is the wrong board, or has been answered recently I am very sorry to clutter to board up with senseless babble. Your help would be most appreciated!

DME is available to all Guests staying at a Disney owned, WDW Resort. How you book it is another matter.

Anyone have any ideas?

Your confirmation will have the number to call for Member Services. You call that number and give them the info and they will add ME to the reservation. You can also make requests, add the dining plan and pay the $95 fee if you like. They can also list all the guests traveling and likely will insist you do so. You can change it at check in up to the occupancy of the unit unless you have the dining plan. I'd wait and pay the fee at check in, just realize they charge it separate to your room bill and they do go ahead and run it through as a charge at that time. The one issue you may have is they sometimes don't get the reservation changed over to the exchangers name for a while so they may ask you to call back later if it's not changed yet. You can ask them to research it and go ahead and make the change, I'd give them at least 2-3 weeks from the date you made the exchange unless the trip is coming up. The person listed on the exchange will have to be present for the exchange but if they are not the first to arrive, discuss with MS about others being able to check in.

As I understand it, this is now the default. From a recent confirmation:
A resort services fee of USD 95 is posted to each unit’s account upon check-in. This fee covers the use of DVC Member Services for making advance dining reservations, golf tee times and other vacation planning. For inquires about other Disney programs, such as Disney’s Dining Plan and the Magical Express airport transportation service, which must be reserved no later than 72 hours prior to arrival, call (numbers redacted) and select option 1 for Member Services.

You'll find the numbers on the second page of your II Confirmation.

Thank you all for your responses. We are all set!

For future II peeps:

We made the mistake and called the resort directly. They gave us incorrect information ("no, you do not get the transportation") thus I was posting here.

We called the 800 # on our II confirmation (thank you Brian!) and easily made the reservation.

Thank you again for all your help.
