Hello,

Been awhile since I was last on the Disboards and the Disney Cruise Line site.

The Disney Cruise Line Site has changed a fair bit. Can someone fill me in on the ins and outs of how to find out about cruises with IGT / OGT / VGT. I understand the limitations.

It's more when do these usually show up ( eg. after Paid in full date? Before? ) and how do you find them on the Cruise Line site.

Thanks

You find them by researching the various cruises. There's no real list anywhere that shows them. As in, find a cruise and look at the room prices. If there are *GT rates available on any given cruise, that's where they show up.

They typically show up after the Paid in Full date for those cruises that DCL deems as not selling well. But, on occasion, will show up earlier.

I find this thread helpful:

Fellow Dis'ers keep an eye :sail: on DCL deals!! Come join us. I just recently booked the 1/23/16 VGT Star Wars Cruise.

Thanks, that helps a bit. I found the gt discount thread as well. Still trying to find a cruise that is currently showing a IGT/OGT/VGT rate, so I can figure out what I'm watching for.

Is the paid in full date still 75 days out? Looking at the 5 day Wonder cruise from San Diego in May.

Most cruises have PIF at 75 days out, but some might be 90 or even 120 depending on itinerary (departure port US or non-US, closed loop or repositioning, length, etc.). I think *GTs have been slower to come out this year than in the past... often well into the 60-day period or even closer. Right now, there are *GTs available for some January 2016 cruises, but I don't think anything further out has *GT offered at this time.

Enjoy your cruise!

I find the website cruisefish.net a much faster way to quickly click through all of the DCL sailings if you are specifically looking for *GT rates. They are organized by ship & itinerary, which may help you or not. From the home page, just click on "finder" on the top right, then on "Disney Cruise Line" on the left, and then the ships & itineraries will show up under that. The prices shown are the price for each of the first 2 people in the room. If there are *GT rates available, then there will be prices in those slots. If not, those slots will be empty. This also allows you to see if any categories are sold out, and also any price increases, and the amount & date which they occurred. Just hover your pointer over a price and a box will pop up showing you the opening day price and all price increases since then.

Sorry if this is TMI - can you tell I really love this site?
