Ignoring PMs

Does it annoy you when you go out of your way to send a nice PM to someone and they never respond?

I told you, I am still looking for a good Swedish meatball recipe. :teeth: ;)

I usually try to answer, but sometimes I put it off til later and then just forget about it. :(

What's awkward for me is if I get an answer to my answer. Is the conversation just supposed to go on forever or is it okay to let it drop? :scratchin:

That's what I always wonder about, too. :)

I believe I've responded to any PM I've ever gotten, at least with a word or two; but there was one time when I had to turn off my PMs because what started off as just friendly talk began getting too personal and frequent, and made me uncomfortable.

RickinNYC sends hysterically funny and right-on-the-mark PMs. :goodvibes

I still feel bad for not ansereing a PM i got about a year ago. A nice Diser was asking my opinion about some of the resorts that we have stayed at. I read the question right before going out the door for work & didn't have time to answer. I remembered one day right after an upgrade was done on the boards and the pm was no longer there. My appoligies to the person that i never answered.

That has happened to me. I don't take it personal. I just don't PM them anymore. Simple as that. Write them off as either unfriendly or the fact that they just don't like PM's. :confused3 Whatever!!!!! Right?

Yeah Whatever

yes it does
how hard is to type
thanks
and your name

The only way I would ignore a PM is if it was nasty. It would annoy me, too. It's kind of like leaving a message and no one returns your phone call. That's a big pet peeve of mine.

But then if you write one and they write you back and you have nothing else to say, then do you write thanks and they write thank you for thanking me and when do you stop without being rude? :crazy2: :faint:

:rotfl: I always think about that, but I think as long as you respond to their original PM, you're not being rude. Unless of course, you are rude in your reply to them, then you are being rude. But...ah never mind. :rotfl:

Don't feel bad. He just happens to know something about me that I'm afraid to have revealed on The DIS, so his PMs to me are usually ones of extortionistic threats--but they are funny!!! :)

Just kidding--he's a great guy. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I try to, don't get many. Actually pm'g with someone right now who pm'd me to tell me she liked my picture and we are just going back and forth. I am really enjoying it.
