Ignore List???

I have been on WISH for over 3 1/2 years. It now seems that there is an "Ignore List" that certain posters can use to block and "ignore" people who post. Is this a new thing or if you fall from the popular group of WISH you get blackballed?

Just let me know or ban me from WISH if that is what this forum has come to? I offered a way to things for the races before they become public to help my fellow forumites.

If I am not welcome, please post a PUBLIC notice with why I am not allowed over here.

Don't know why but obviously it effects WISH as a whole

Any poster can block any other poster but I do not believe there is anyone blocked from a whole thread.

For the record, I block no one.

Thanks Frank! Never realized that option was available. Guess I am on someones list and thus my posts are added.

How do you block someone? I obviously have one person to block

I have most everyone up to here.
I do have some posts listed on my ignore list, so I am not seeing them, sorry.

found it..i had no idea this existed either...

go to view the person's public profile.... then on the left top of one of the boxes it says 'user lists' and has a drop down. click on that and then add to ignore lists or something.

Can I block posts, emails and messages from specific users?

If there are particular members that bother you and you do not want to see their posts or receive Private Messages and Emails from them, then you can add these members to your 'Ignore List'. There are several ways to do this:

Through your User Control Panel: User CP, Settings & Options, Edit Ignore List. Then, type their name into the empty text box and click 'Okay'.

I am unsure that this thread would be considered "on topic" on this forum. If you have questions/concerns on technical functions on the DIS, please post on DIS Technical board

I would strongly suggest to everyone to NOT post/quote off messages received through Private Messaging (PM) This system is in place for conversations not intended to be public. Any messages you may have for a specific user should be communicated through PMs as personal messages are against board guidelines

6. NO PERSONAL MESSAGES: The types of posts that we like to see on the DIS are those that everyone can participate in and benefit from. When a post is intended for an individual, it creates a problem and can be very awkward for both the person you're publicly contacting as well as others. Did you know that you can easily get in touch with almost anyone via the DIS Private Message system? Simply click on the name of the person and you should see a link for sending them a private message and/or email. If you come across a situation where the person has blocked these options, sorry you still can't use the boards to get in touch.
