PK, I'm content with her growing up slowly. I keep remembering that I met DH when I was 14. That's probably why I worry.

I had a boyfriend in high school from May of freshman year until after graduation/Senior year. I broke up with him and started dating DH. Been together since July of '84 -- almost 26 years and I'm 43. I know how you feel. I'm hoping there's no one serious until college or later. ;)

OK, I almost hate to admit this on an internet forum, but when I was 14, I was dating a 25 year old man. Over the years, I have often wondered about it. He's dead now (was murdered 6 years after we stopped dating) so I can't ever ask him what the heck was his interest in me (and don't think the obvious because he was a perfect gentlemen). He had a Harley chopper and a GTO. I thought I'd hit the big time, LOL.

I know if I had a daughter, there is no way she'd date anyone at 14, let alone a man with an apartment and a car. :scared1:

Hey I'm back! Nightmare of nightmares, we had a virus infect our computers in work today and I couldn't access the internet all day. Our new document management system is also internet based, so we were having a miserable day. :scared1:

Pakey, I think I would have died if you were my daughter, although the high school boyfriend I mentioned was a senior when I was a freshman. It also didn't help that at the time the legal drinking age was 18, which he turned a month before his graduation, so I always had access to alcohol. And he drove a car. I often wonder WTH my mother was thinking letting me date him, but she was right -- had she forbidden me, I would have done it anyway. He was very nice guy, just not "the one".

A day at work without internet would be a day I decided to go home sick.

PK, when I first asked my parents, they said no. So I just lied and snuck out to meet him. Four months we dated without my parents knowing. After they found out, they knew it was better to let me so that they could control the situation. I was/am very headstrong.

Pakey, thinking about you. Prayers and pixiedust sent your way.

Hoping all is well with you Pakey. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

And hoping everyone in AlphaMom's house is feeling better too. :thumbsup2

Would you believe that the imaging center had their equipment go down and now I have to wait until Tuesday to get my CT scan? Sure people, I love sitting around waiting to hear if it's bad news or not. Another ruined weekend.

Kerrie, hope you and the crew are feeling better.

I'm going back to ignoring.

Focus on the ice cream. :cloud9:

Feeling much better here. The first dose of porkicillan made quite a difference. It's been all uphill since. :thumbsup2

We leave for Disney in 6 days!!!

Pakey, I'm sorry they're making you wait even longer. Just know that we're all sending :goodvibes your way.

Kerrie, glad to hear everyone is on the road to recovery. My obsessive nature is beginning to take hold. My DD and DMom both had swine flu vaccinations. I never went. :scared1: Now I hear that the swine flu is making quite the comeback in many of the southern states and I'm starting to let my imagination run wild. Mom was sick last trip, and was holed up in the room with blisters the trip before. This one has to go better, right?

PK, it will go better this time. Although every Hawaiian vacation has been awful for me. I told my husband that's why I don't want to go back there. :lmao: I do know all about wild imaginations though; I've killed myself off at least a dozen times waiting on these tests to be finalized.

Are you doing the dessert party again? I hear it's back. I really wanted to try it but we are going with my youngest son and he's not good at having a structured vacation with requirements to be somewhere at a certain time. Maybe next time when just my husband and I go we can try it.

Kerrie, so glad the porkacillon is working for the alphabet family. Nothing like a good illness right before to make everyone appreciate a fun vacation.

I can't believe it's already time for all of our vacations. I think most of us are going within the next 2 months. I'm 4 weeks and 1 day away.

PK, as a non-certified doctor, I prescribe lots of bacon to fight off any piggy illnesses. (We've not been vaccinated either.)

Pakey -- I'm so sorry about you having to wait any longer. I'm sending lots of good thoughts your way.

Here -- pixiedust: That should take care of it!

Ummm. Bacon sounds good, but it reminds me of the Andouille sausage I saw at the meat market at lunch. Now I'm hungry.

Well, I'll have to wait to begin my bacon regiment until tomorrow. No meat for me on Good Friday. Yep, I'm one of "those" Catholics. Don't go to church, but sends my child to Catholic school and doesn't eat meat on Fridays. :rotfl: Hope that didn't get too political/religious for anyone. Just outing myself.

Yes, I'm signed up for the Wishes Dessert Party. Did it last year and enjoyed it very much. But since Mom was sick, she didn't get to attend. We'll be there 4/22 -- our last night. Very much looking forward to it.

Pakey, I must say I'm very excited about Disney, as are our other thread friends I'm sure, but you've got one heck of an itinerary coming up! :thumbsup2 I can't wait to see pics. I'm curious to see if bahookies look different in other parts of the world. :rotfl2:

Wickey, thanks for the pixie dust! Keep it coming. :worship:

And to all my clique thread friends: Happy Easter and Happy Passover. May we all be blessed with good health, good fortune, good friends and family (unless you're family makes you )

PK, you can bet I'll attempt to at least get a camel bahookie shot in Egypt. Not sure about China because I haven't even learned how to use my new camera. Between that and chopsticks, I need to do some serious practicing.

And just so you know, I'm lucky to be able to have the opportunity to travel but if a rule came out that said I had to choose only one place to vacation at for the rest of my life, it would be WDW. It's the only place I've been that I enjoy enough to return to over and over.

Glad you are going to the dessert party again; I remember how much you liked it the first time. I'll be waiting to hear your comparison story to see if it's still as good or maybe even better. Fireworks and dessert at the same time; can it get any better. :thumbsup2

And thanks to all for the pixie dust. I believe strongly in the benefits of positive thinking. In case that doesn't work, there's always ice cream.

Pakey, you can't go to China and not bring back Panda bahookie.

...Happy Easter...*snort*, *snort*...
