Sure glad I am ignoring this thread...

its starting to go down the toilet...

or is that a swiffer pad?

hehehehhee

I'd ask if ya'll are happy I'm back, but I'm sure being gone made it easier to ignore me. :upsidedow

Pakey, I'm not a big fan of peeps, either.

As for dentists, I'm in desparate need of seeing one. It's just not a priority. I know it should be, but it isn't. The kids go regularly, just not me. Once all my teeth rot out of my head, I'm sure I'll make it there.

DH is doing well. He's fiercely independent and doesn't like asking for help. He unwrapped one of his hands to "take care of business" and it hurts pretty bad now. And, its wasn't easy. I told him that no matter what, if he needs help, I'll help. But, I doubt he'll want me to. Even taking a shower, he had me cover his arms, get out the towel and soap, but insisted on washing himself. I could have done it much faster and easier, but no, he wants to take care of it himself. I shouldn't complain, at least, he's not lazy. He'll be back up and staying busy in no time. He's a great man, and I hate seeing hurt.

Good for him that he's been in the shower already. When DH broke his elbow and had the surgery, he had no choice but to let me help. I already left my mothering advice on Facebook -- to not let him push too soon. ;) And now for some more advice for you -- get to the dentist. I know it's expensive and it stinks, but you don't want to wait until it's going to cost you a small fortune and you certainly don't need that kind of pain. Take care of yourself, then you can better take care of everyone else.

All peeps are evil, even when combined with chocolate.

I am not a good wife. Enough said on that one. I do have a new steam cleaner with a long wand and nozzle; maybe I would use that if necessary so I could keep my distance. I'll have to ask my husband how he'd feel about hot steam. I'll let you know what he says. :rotfl:

Oh, PK, sorry to hear about the tooth. I have to be completely knocked out for even a filling. I have over 20 crowns now so I've been knocked out plenty. The reason I have so many crowns? I pulled a Kerrie and didn't go for years. I could have purchased a really big house with what I've paid to the dentist in the past decade or so.

Can you postpone the crown portion long enough to carry it over into next year. I've done lots of carry overs.

I'm glad AlphaDad is doing okay though.

Sounds like you could use your steam cleaner like a bidet. :rotfl:

Dentist told me it doesn't matter if we carry over. The insurance considers it one tooth/one process. They know you can't do a root canal/post without following up with a crown, so it doesn't matter, they'll still consider it one procedure. I don't know if that's true, but that's what he said. All total, worse case scenario it will run $2350 if insurance doesn't cover anything. Hopefully, they'll be some money left to at least cover a portion. It's always something. I needed new glasses/biofocals; finally ordered my orthodics and now he wants me to go for PT for that; now it's a root canal, etc., all within the last few months. It's like I'm being punished for booking this trip to WDW. :lmao: Please forgive my whining, I know how good I have it. So many people have real problems. I realize how inconsequential mine are, I just like to whine. :thumbsup2

Are you kidding? Whine away. I just spent 2 grand on my eye glasses. I like them but still think that's a ridiculous amount of money to just be able to see. No matter what bad things we have going on in our lives, we still hate to spend money on stuff like this.

I forgot. In addition to my steam cleaner, I have a pressure washer.

I could be very helpful to AlphaDad.

We have a pressure washer, already considered it. ;)

I promise, it will cost a small fortune for me to go to the dentist. I was preggers with DD10 last time I went. She'll be 11 in July.

That definitely would have worked out well for me!

I'll be keeping my eye out for your boy. That's a movie I might actually make it to. :thumbsup2

While I dont' have to spend quite that much on glasses, I can relate. I HATE spending the $$$ to get something I need to be able to see. Dang it.

OMG -- if I had a drink (rum or whatever) I would have spit that out everywhere!!! That is just too brilliant!

Me too! I have a few that like to milk the special times - and that includes DH!

...you noticed that too, huh...

You can rely on GP to turn up at the most oportune moment!

...now THAT'S something ya don't hear every day...

[...actually, at first I thought it said 'panty', not 'pantry'....]

I don't recall ever having a kangaroo in my panty. Maybe tomorrow.
