He even texted a picture of his foot from the hospital. 
We found out this morning he'll need muscle and skin grafts.
Also Kimmar, ABC actually put the Oscars on about 15 minutes into the show so you could have watched. 
But, my first inclination when I heard about it was to laugh. He's honestly not the brightest bulb in the box, but it's still a terrible thing to happen. I feel bad for his family right now and I hope he gets back on his feet soon. I'm sure he'll remember to keep the safety ON from here on out.
Okay Kerrie, I can't ignore it... I gotta ask... this is a co-worker and not a close friend??? Did he send pics to the entire office? Nobody's likely to dispute that excuse to call in sick.
The injury plus resulting pain & financial impact make me feel really bad for him and his family. This should be a serious thing and I really do realize how awful it could be. Somehow though, the image of a guy sitting in the hospital texting pics of his foot to everyone in between doctors makes me smile. I'm ashamed of myself for discovering how twisted I am this morning....
They are friends. The entire shop is pretty close. They talk for holidays, check on each other while on vacation, visit outside of work, etc. His manager texted a few months ago to let us know he arrived at the place he was going on vacation safely. If DH doesn't let them know, they check on us when we go somewhere. When he goes in for surgery, I'll have to send out a mass text to let them know when he comes out and goes home. It's how they are. It's one of the reasons DH stays there, it's like family. 
Well if it's like my family, they should check the gun for fingerpints.
I'm pretty sure he's already admitted doing it himself.

We're all praying for you that DH's surgery and your trip go off without a hitch. But maybe it wouldn't be so bad if your trip was postponed by a day or two -- you know, sort of extended.

Okay, okay, I'm sorry, I'll stop thinking about myself. Just wish we had the opportunity to meet while in Disney. Of course I'm assuming you'd want to, because who wouldn't want to meet me, right?
