Welcome back Snap. I'm glad you survived the heat wave there, along with Wickey and I. It sure brought back memories of my 10 years of living in Mississippi.

Our best day was Thursday when I rented one of those private SHADED cabanas at Typhoon Lagoon. It even came with cute cabana boys to run and fetch my beverages. I didn't check but they were probably from New Jersey too.

I hope you got permission from Grumpy Pirate before posting this pic of him. I can't believe he took off the crocs for the pose.

You really shouldn't say such things around a pregnant woman. Now I need to go vomit.

Darn!!! I knew I forgot to put something on my "To Do" list. Next time, cabana and cabana boy.

I'm curious Pakey, what's the Chinese equivalent of a cabana boy? :confused3

I've been ignoring my housework to read all 7 pages of a poop thread on the theme park board. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2464009 I REALLY need a life.

Snap, eggplants :thumbsup2 :lmao:

Pakey, how did the appt go?

I was trying to ignore that thread. Wish I had not clicked on the link. :scared1:

I still love Davy, even though he ignored me. Here is a video I shot:

THANK YOU!!!! I was keeping my mouth because he ignored you, because I LOVE DAVY!! I missed him by two days -- I was so sad. Now, I've bookmarked the video and can see him any time I want. :hippie::banana::woohoo::cheer2:

I do not know what to call a Chinese cabana boy but I hope he'll have great chopsticks.

Kerrie, the appointment went as well as can be expected. This is all so surreal to me; I always just thought smokers got lung cancer. They still can't tell if this cancer is a new one or a spread of the old one but it's definitely not the same type of lung cancer that smokers get, which is a good thing. The type I have is more treatable.

I will be going into the hospital the 2nd week of June for surgery to have part of my left lung removed. The surgeon hopes to take just a wedge but they may have to take an entire quadrant which wouldn't be such a big deal except I have emphesema and this could make my life difficult as I get older.

I will be in the hospital for about a week. The last 4 years of my life have been so surreal.

Pakey :grouphug::grouphug:

My neighbor is 85 and has been living with one lung for about 5 years. She was a smoker. She is in better shape than me, she walks every day.

I'm sorry you are going through this. Hopefully those cabana boys with their great chopsticks will keep your mind off all of this on your vacation.

We will be praying for you/thinking good thoughts every step of the way

Oh, Pakey  I do keep you in my thoughts. I'm sure the more good thoughts, prayers, and pixie dust you get, the better. 2nd week of June, that's B's birthday, she'll be 3. I'm pretty sure she knows voodoo, I'll see what she can do for you.

FWIW, my grandmother had emphesema for years. She was put on a vent a number of times after surgery, and always managed to come off, even when they were saying she had a max lung capacity of 15%. She was a feisty old broad and wasn't about to give up without a fight. Every time they told her she'd have to stay on a vent, she wouldn't accept it and before too long, no more vent. And she smoked for many years, which is what led to her emphesema diagnosis.

I'm sorry your dealing with this beast again. But don't stop fighting. Thumb your nose at it, flip in the bird and fight the good fight. We've got your back in any way you need. I understand we're cyberfriends, but it would be great if Mr. Pakey could let us know how you're doing after surgery. Hope I'm not being too forward in asking. :flower3:

Thanks for the well wishes guys. I'm a pretty tough person, always have been. Most of the time, I'm fine but then I have those moments of freak out.

Kerrie, I would love some B voo-doo. My birthday is on the 19th and I was glad that I wasn't going to be doing it on my birthday. Surgery is supposed to be on the 7th or the 9th.

PK, Mr. Pakey is computer illiterate. The best I could offer is if someone wanted to turn over their cell number, he could text that person. Otherwise, no way. He's never ever ever been on a computer. He also has an antique cell phone (a razor, remember them?) but he did learn to text a month or so ago.

It's just another tragedy in my life. :rotfl:
