Pop, hands down. All Star Music is my least favorite resort of all while Pop is my favorite Value resort.

I'm curious--Did you stay at ASMu after it was rehabbed? I like Pop, but I'm looking to try something new, and the pictures of the rehabbed rooms at ASMu make the rooms look as updated and as nice as the rooms at Pop Century. (Though I do know that the resorts have unique atmospheres, which also plays into everyone's choice for a favorite pick). :)

No, the last time was years and years ago. The rooms do look nice, but I don't like the public areas as I'm not wild about the music theme. Plus, you run the risk of being very, very far away if you end up in the Broadway or Country Music section. I have not stayed at Movies, but I would book Sports over Music, in spite of the rehabbed rooms. Just my personal preferences.

To rank the values in my opinion (and yes, I have stayed at all of them multiple times), it goes:

Pop Century
Sports
Movies
Music

I stayed at ASMu when I was a kid and the theming really bored me. I'd rather stay at Pop because I think it's a lot more fun, and no matter what building you're in you're not too far from the food court area.

ASM seems a little run down for my taste plus you usually share an All Star bus for all the All Stars. POP just seems so vibrant and fun. I didn't like our first two stays there but now we're hooked. We love it there if we can't afford a mod which is most of the time. Plus, it's closer to most things we like to do.

The only one I havent stayed at is Sports. We have stayed at Music twice, Movies once and Pop once.
Music in my opinion is streets ahead of all the rest and as for Pop - none of us liked it. I am trying to be restrained in my opinions but it wasnt a pleasant stay.
We found the walls paper thin and had very poor mousekeeping. Twice the beds were left unmade. Being pleasant I always spoke to the cleaning staff in the morning. There was no reply, not even once. I dont know what was wrong as I always tipped well. As well as my usual tips I left a present I had bought in England and had chosen very carefully. The present was taken and nothing said. I had left a lovely note and even though the staff was the same the day after, when we left, there was still no 'hello', 'thank you' - nothing. I can tell you I was hurt. I compared this to the non Disney hotel we had stayed in 10 days earlier where we were spoken to every day and left a thank you note by the staff. Of course others will never had an issue with mousekeeping but believe me, in our section it was bad and this was the first time ever this had happened.
We also had problems with smoke leaking through the air con. Our room smelt like an ashtray. Nothing was done about it even though it was acknowledged as a problem.
I dont know why the bus service was so poor at the time we were there, but we had a 40 min wait one morning for Epcot. They knew they had a problem when we were there as they did try to put things right and eventually got it right in the last few days. I know that people who have stayed at other times have never had an issue with the bus service and found it very good but there were a lot of people annoyed at just how bad it was when we stayed. It was very very busy and just too big for us but for others that same word busy means it has a 'buzz' for them.
We found the food choice very good but did not like the way the food court connected to the shop. It created a bottleneck at times.
The food choices at Music and Movies arent as wide but we definitely preferred those hotels. Our favourite is Music. We love the guitar pool and the fountain and the fact that it isnt nearly as busy as Pop or as big.
In the end it is all about personal experiences as to how our opinions are formed. I think that all the values are great hotels. Its just that things didnt go so well for us when we were in Pop and thats why it isnt for us.

My DH and I have stayed at Pop and All Three of the All Stars before we Love:love: Pop the best.

We stayed at POP last year and Music this year. I have to say I liked Music better. It just wasnt as big, I just like the feel a little more. Last year, we waited a long long time for buses, this year it was great, no waits!

we've stayed at all 3 All Stars, as well as Pop

prefer Pop the best - it's the newest, we like the gift shop/food court, the fact it has a lake, and the theming

I like Pop best. I especially like that Pop does not share buses with any other resort. There are no extra stops when you're tired and trying to get back to your room at the end of a long day.

I have stayed at both Pop and All Star Music several times. I prefer Pop Century because I like it's theming better, and since it's newer everything just seems more spruced up to me. I love the fact that staying there sort of takes you back to your childhood (I recommend trying to stay in a building from the decade when you grew up). All that being said, I am staying at All Star Music in 8 days (woo hoo!) to see how their renovated rooms compare to Pop Century.

I like POP the best. I like the icons, I like the penne pasta with meatball kids meal (instead of spagetti), I like the rooms we've been in (50, 60, and 70s), we've stayed there 12 times so far. However, we stayed at AS Music over Labor Day and once over the summer and I really enjoyed the enhanced activities for the kids. If they continue that, ASMu is our choice. And ASMu has my favorite game in the arcade - TWISTER!

We go about once a month and if I get to choose I pick POP, if DS picks its ASMu, if DH picks it's AS Sp

I just returned from ASMU and I would say I liked it better then POP. The rooms were all updated. We stayed in the Broadway section and I didn't think the walk was long at all. We never shared buses except if you came back in the middle of the day and that was no big deal. They also had movies and fun games for the kids at the pool. I have heard that was a test thing they were running so I'm not sure that is continuing. It seems like most people that said they didn't like ASMu stayed there a few years ago. I stayed there in 2003 and I definitely liked it better this time. I wouldn't hesitate to go back there.

Pop..... It incorporated all of th elements of the other 3 in one form or another... besides.... who doesn't love the huge rubix cube building!!!!!!!

I have stayed at POP twice and ASMu twice and I prefer POP. I think the theme of POP is a lot more fun and I also loved having a lakeview room.

Although I did like POP - I agree that the walls seems very thin. I just remember hearing the toilets flush all around us constantly - but it would not keep me from going back - but I have it in my mind that I won't stay at the same resort twice until I have stayed at them all at least once (which is a little out of reach - but I can dream!). I was thinking about All Star Movies - but now I'm not sure - I really would like to try the new suites at Movies!

I like Pop better in some ways and ASMu better in some ways. I like the rooms and food court better at Pop, but ASMu has better bus service, and it was more relaxed. If all of ASMu was updated (I know they have new family suites) and the food court improved, then I'd vote ASMu hands down, but Pop is very fun theme-wise, and it's newer, so it wins, I guess. :confused3
