Okay, we have used TT several times in the past. Will most likely be trying out Fl Tours this coming summer. We've never had a problem in the past. So, I guess this is just a rhetorical question. If your towncar service doesn't show up, especially for the return trip, how long do you wait before calling them? What if they just don't show up period? And you've already paid up front. How long would it take a cab to be there to get you to the airport? I'm sure this has happened. Not that I'm looking to have a problem, just curious what others have done in similar circumstances.

This happened to us. The car did not show up...after 30 minutes, we called, they said they were on the way...waited fifteen more minutes...called again...the driver went to the wrong hotel...by this time it was getting late, so we took a cab...$40. from POFQ. This was in 2000. We ran for our plane. We had already paid for the return trip. Thank goodness with a credit card, so we were able to get our money back.

I just posted my report on FL. Tours from last week - If you read it you will see why I'm so comfortable with them - that call the night before your return is so re-assuring!

When we had a problem with Mears a bellman at the Allstars found us a cab. It was there in less than 5 minutes.

This happened to me with Cartier last October. I had asked them to get there about 4 hours before my flight cuz i was using SWA. After a half hour, I started trying to call them and got no answer, after 45 minutes, I began to panic. Luckily another driver from another company offered to drive me and I made it in time to get my 'A' boarding pass (my main reason for getting there early  ), it took me several e-mails, phone calls and threats to get a refund from Cartier after this.

If I use another Town Car service in the future it will be a more reliable one, and I will double (or triple) check my return trip itinerary.

If they didn't show up at the Airport, I really wouldn't care, I'd just grab a cab.

I nearly missed a plane once due to Mears. They did show up on time, but with a huge bus that stopped at practically every resort. After awhile you could see the passengers start getting very anxious. Luckily my terminal was one of the first stop and even then I barely made it. I have no doubt that other passengers missed their flights. This was pre 9/11 so check-in didn't create delays it does now, so would be especially anxious if our ride did not come.

That was a fluke because I was travelling alone, rest of time we use Tiffany and never have had a problem.

I have another plus to add for FL Tours. Recently i had some concerns regarding reservations and emailed FL Tours. Within the same day i received a reply email from Andy himself. Not many of the other companies even respond to emails but Andy takes it on himself to respond when he feels the necessity to do so. I have also sent a few emails regarding flight changes and have received a return reply from all of them.

This is GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE on the part of Andy and FL Tours;) ::yes::

Did you tell them when you wanted to be picked up, or did they ask you for your flight time and specified the pick up time for you?

Many forum contributors have reported Mears' suggesting pickups four hour in advance of flight time.
