question why or just accept them graciously?

...(even if you thought why have they bought them for me today, its not a special day or anything! ;))

My co-worker and spouse had an arguement over this over the weekend, she asked him why he bought them for her, (not Valentine related) instead of saying how nice they were, etc...oops!

Dh does stuff like that once in a while. I absolutely graciously accpet. Though I often feel a tad guilty since I didn't give HIM anything!

Well considering I have told him not to waste money on flowers i would definetely be asking him why;).He used to buy me flowers all the time but I just dont see the point in it,I just had rather we go out to a dinner or something. But thats just me.

If someone does that, I usually ask why. I'm always curious to know if I did something specific to get them. When they say "just because" then I get very thankful.

I would probably tease DH and ask him what he did. That is after I passed out from surprise.

Heck no.

I don't think I would have time before I fainted from disbelief!

:lmao:

;)

I would be really tickled and thank him very enthusiastically! :thumbsup2

He does buy flowers for me "just because" occasionally and I love it.

Considering the only time in 16 years I have gotten flowers was for my 1st Mothers day about 2 months after giving birth to our son, I think I would about pass out from shock and then ask what he did or was planning on doing :confused3

My husband buys me flowers a lot. I have never given it any thought, even the first time. Just his way of showing me he loves me and was thinking about me.

sorry but this was really funny....:rotfl2:

No, very rarely he brings them home jsut because (well actually dbf wrks for fedex and often they have extra flowers from the routes expecially during this time and mothers day) so the big joke at our house is not that he bought them but im always like "omg, that is sooooo thought ful of you to go out of your way to get me some"....lol...since he just grabs them at the station..lol
but no i wouldnt ask y, i figured itd be just becuase....

my husband has no concept of money so I get angry when he went goes overboard on things( when we were dating he hired a limo to surprise me to take me to the movies when I knew he didnt have a pot to piss in---nice but too much to me) so i always told him I would be just as happy getting a single rose from the local 7-11 or convieniece store just for the hell of it...

He's only brought me flowers twice total. Once was for no reason at all and the other was for a special occasion. I usually do not like getting flowers too often since I have allergies and sometimes they can really set them off. I didn't question either time since it is so rare for him to do it ;)

See my second tag. My DH does it a lot. :goodvibes

Of course I would accept them graciously and thank him, but DH knows I prefer gifts with a little more longevity - plants instead of flowers. Still it's the thought that counts and I would be touched either way.

:lmao: Plants don't last in my house much longer than flowers - except the Chia elephant that has been growing strong for almost 6 weeks!

since I've never got flowers from Dh first words out of my mouth would be what did you do.

I'd give him big hugs and kisses and say "how sweet, thank you so much for thinking of me, today, honey."

accept them graciously

DH has never given me a reason to not trust his reason for anything.

My DH does this sometimes, and I love it. :goodvibes

And he's raising our boys right! Last week he and DS7 came home from the grocery store, and DS7 handed me a bouquet of fluorescent pink, orange, green, blue and purple daisies! He said, "Here, Mama, these are for you, I picked them out myself!" :lovestruc

I'd never seen flowers sooooo... vibrant! :lmao:

I looked at DH, and he shook his head, saying, "I had nothing to do with it, he wanted to get you some flowers, so I told him he could." :goodvibes

At least once a week DBF brings flowers home.

I never ask why, I always thank him, and he knows that its appreciated.

Its never roses- because i dont like them, sometimes its an arrangement, sometimes its in a beautiful vase from a flourist- sometimes its a bunch of carnations from a gas station.

Doesnt matter to me, the fact that he thought about me and did it is what matters....not what they are

I'd be more opt to ask What happened if I DIDNT get them for a week or two...
