If your sister ignored DD's Graduation announcement

She e-mailed me a week ago that she had received it & I had e-mailed her that I had mailed her DD a grad card (High School)-which contained a nice check. We live several states apart & have a good relationship.

She didn't ignore the announcement. She emailed you and said she had received it. :confused3

Now are you upset that she didn't send a check when you sent one to her HS graduate? IMO a card would be nice but college graduations aren't generally seen as gift giving ocassions.

It's been a week. Even if she mailed a card before she emailed you, you live several states away and last week was a holiday weekend. I think you are getting upset over nothing.

My Heavens a week! You do realize how busy this time of year is with school ceremonies, concerts, sports awards, sport practices, games starting, church things winding down! I haven't had an evening in the last 3 weeks that hasn't had at least 2 things going on. Also I have had mail take 10 days to get were it was intended.(not far)

When my nephew graduated HS I waited until we went East for the party to give him his card and gift and that was 6 weeks!

For college I didn't send him anything to me college is just kinda expected. They aren't kids anymore, are you having a party? and did she send him something for HS which to me is the special occasion in a child's life.
