We have wonderful weather here at the moment and I think the weather should be nice in Italy too! Can't wait.

Happy belated Birthday Karin! Love the cars you got! Very nice. The pics of your garden were beautiful. I have some blooming too, but haven't gotten to enjoy them for all the rain we are getting. We are finally getting warm temps and our AC for the house isn't working. Good thing Mick is a AC tech. He will get it going soon. Sounds like you have a great getaway planned. We were thinking of going somewhere for the weekend, but nowhere near as exciting. Ohio has a few nice places to visit for a weekend.

Aw, you are so sweet!!! Thank you - nice to be missed. Of course, I no more than got back and caught up, when our little 15 yr old Maltese was admitted to ICU. She is home now, a week tomorrow. Had a rough 24 hours, but think it was a reaction to the antibiotic - which she is now off, so fingers crossed.

I am SO excited for your Italy weekend!!! I want you to go so we can hear and SEE all about the trip - BUT - do not want your weekend to go by too fast for you & Tom.

Sure wish you could travel in December, but I know it has to be around your academic calendar - Rosie and I are going to celebrate BIG birthday's in 2012 and we're going in Dec so she can see all the Decorations.

I never completely lost touch - I followed you on facebook! I don't post there much - I have a hard time staying on top of my DISboards threads!

Our trip to Italy was wonderful. We were both stunned at how much Lignano has changed since we went there as children! We had a blast discovering old and new parts!

I wish there were a possibility to travel in December, but that is out of the question with our school holidays! But be sure I will be following you and Rosie during your trip here on the boards!
The Christmas decorations are breathtaking! Don't forget to visit ALL the resorts - they are very special too!

Karin Can't wait for the pix of Italy!!! YES Christine and I are planning a 65th Birthday Trip next year!!!
